Thanks Sam. I got my glasses a few days before Christmas and was ready to send them back because Meta AI is not available in the UK. I've never used Be My Eyes as I'm a little unsure of dealing with strangers but being able to use video calls with my contacts is definitely something I will use.

It just keeps getting better. I am curious, though, about the video quality on the glasses. Meaning, when I was using an iPhone X with the Seeing AI application, it seemed like it did not recognize things as good, as my iPhone 12 or even now my 15. It seems like the common denominator was, the camera picture quality was much better on the newer phones, therefore it would give a much better Detail and more accurate description. Especially, if whatever you were shooting, was a good distance away. But, it is definitely a step in the right direction. If they could ever incorporate ChatGPT into this, that would be amazing I think. Still learning the AI features on different applications. But, Did download the ChatGPT plus version yesterday, and so far, very impressed even with the video calling description. Stay tuned! 😉 thanks again, Sam!

From what I can tell, the camera quality is pretty good on the glasses. You can check out my carnival cruise video for several video and photo samples from my glasses

I don't yet have the MR-B glasses as yet, but just from the standpoint of the specs most cameras in a device of this sort of form factor will be more lmited for a variety of reasons. The MBR camera is fixed focus and very limited with respect to exposure controls. The camera in most mid to high end phones are going to be of much higher quality in many regards, most notably a variety of focal lengths, auto focus and a wide range of exposure controls and LOTS of sophisticated image processing. It's not really fair to compare them. Sure, it would be great to have better quality cameras in this form factor, but you'd be paying a lot more for the glasses to get that. The question is whether it's good enough. If not, for a particular use, just switch to the phone's camera.

Not yet. Just volunteers. Also, sot with the BME support feature (I think).

The Meta AI app only works with volunteers. You can't call your own groups. The use of video calling in What's App however provides exactly that functionality. You can video call someone known to you and by double tapping the camera button on the glasses, the person sees what you are looking at.

I appreciate the demonstration, but I, personally, am not all that interested in the Meta Ray-Bands. Can you do a demonstration of the current capabilities of the Envision glasses? If such a video already exists, I apologize; it's hard for me to search your Previous videos.
