The year is 2029, Pogaçar struggling to defend his title in the '29 TdF unleashes a rim brake colnago on 25mm tyres for the Queen stage. He launches a blistering attack on GC marketing kids now 10years younger than him with 75km to go and clinches it. The next year all the GC guys turn up with rim and S-Works drop their new bike.... marketing will say "Tarmac SL15: You have to look back to go forwards" and we'll all be old and salty as fuck to even give a damn having stuck with rim brakes so hard.

I've just ridden 2000km on the UK Pan Celtic ride, on my carbon Scott Addict, carrying lots of load. Bike weighed 24kg + plus me on top. All types of road surface, including some serious gravel sections. The bike was awesome. No problems at all, handled it great. Comfortable over the distance. The Transcontinental bikes are also predominantly carbon - for a reason. They are strong, they are light, they are smooth, and they handle well. Yes of course metal bikes are good too, and have their place, but modern carbon bikes are fantastic. But, I guess you need something to talk about.

Hello Harley. I've started following your advice on nutrition a few weeks ago. I have a question: is it low enough fat if I'm eating fruit during the day, rice at night (sometimes with red beans, greens, veggies or just plain rice with some hot sauce) and in the morning I have cereals with white sugar. The cereals I currently like are Kelloggs' Special K. They're 1,3g of fat per 100. Is that too much? Thank you for your honest and truthful guidance in this world of lies and misinformation.

At the high end of the sport where the riders weight are 66 to 78 kg weight matters. All this marketing about heavy aerodynamics trumps weight is true for me but the pros it matters. A disc rotor makes the front end unstable from crosswinds 😂😂😂 No, it has no leverage to the fork and is tiny.

Bro you ride a downhill bike in the forest where there is no wind 😆 You DON’T own a light road disc bike and ride it in windy conditions. Your opinion has no weight here as you can’t talk from experience.
@steveco18002 ай бұрын
@@durianriders You’re trolling me. You don’t know me, I have plenty of experience. You would have a more convincing argument by saying more spokes in the front wheel needed for a disc wheel catch crosswinds more. The rim depth has a much greater effect in crosswinds.
