I'm Puerto Rican, living in Florida and I had seen this video before. I just showed it to my dad, after he told me that whenever someone (tourists, mainly) was lost, he would literally take them. I have to learn myself about our hospitality, as in here, if someone is lost, the most I do is to draw a map, or try to give simple and concise directions. I'm so thrilled that you call PR home now. It is a special place, isn't it? I lived in Santurce, then moved to Canóvanas until I came here, 25 years ago (and thinking of going back to live!) Saludos y les deseo lo mejor! I had to leave the island due to the lack of job opportunities and low salaries in my field (human services). Your video is spot on in pointing out some key differences between life in mainland US and life in the island. PR is a true paradise and PR ppl have a special sensibility, and a different set of values. You masterfully put it into words when you said that in PR one does not live to work but rather live to enjoy life with family and friends ( I am paraphrasing). Thank you! Take care :)

I just want to point out that Puerto Rico IS a country, it is NOT a part of the U.S it is simply a territory of the U.S, other than that i really appreciated what you said of our country and I’m glad you love our culture and people

@more adventourous....YES!!! REALLY!!!🤗😍😊 at a point in my life where it's time for a major change. Instead of dealing with small minded people and harsh winters,....why not be in Puerto Rico eating good food, sunshine, beach bumming, friendly people and positive vibes. Hurricanes and earthquakes are the least of my problems in life right now....See Ya Soon!🤗🙏💞😘

Thank you for this video. I was raised in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. There is a lot of places to visit on the island and the adjacent islands (caja muerto, culebra, isla rata, isla mona, etc).

From all the other videos I have watched from people moving from the mainland to Puerto Rico I loved this video the most, I love how you are learning about the culture and interacting with locals, I used to go every summer as a kid to my father's house but never got used to the hot weather, now as an adult with 2 kids I think about how school will be for them in the island.
