You gotta let go. Few months ago I thought it is impossible when everybody told me I have to do it and I will find someone I deserve. It was then an abstraction for me. Now I'm dating an incredible woman, way better than my ex troll that betrayed me and left. So yes, it is very possible but you have to change your mindset. Bury that monster that hurt you so bad and move on.

Great analogy. In practical application if you haven't allowed yourself to heal and move on and hold some thread of attachment, what happens if you get in a new relationship and that ex reaches out? Could you be tempted into monkey branching? Not good! Better to heal than be affected by the negativity or 'saltiness' you got away from...

@@Winchdon69 my mom finnaly divorcing my dad after 30 of abuse just helped break up with my toxic ex two weeks ago …. 15 years later . Her example gave me strength . It’s better to show your kids that you know your worth and that they shouldn’t let themselves be taken for granted .. than to regret breaking up with your partner or even going back to an unhealthy relationship
