Im sad the "Rise of the tmnt" era is over, its genuinely great and severely underrated. But this new iteration looks amazing, and im really excited to see these turtles grow up as the movies go on. Plus, with the kids growing up irl, we'll have genuine young adult turtles and cast.

TBH itll probably be a Powerpuff Girls or Kim Possible-esque situation where the TMNT are known to be heroes and whoop ass that way. Again its just for this specific universe and the other universes arent gone. ANOTHER THING tho It makes it funnier cause Turtles Forever Crossed over 2003 and 1987 TMNT and TMNT 2012 crossed over with 1987 TMNT so if previous gens crossover with mutant mayhem the reactions of the 2003 and 2012 turtles learning they are freely exposed is gonna be hilarious af lmao

I watched the movie yesterday with my friend and family. This movie is honestly a chef’s kiss. The art style, references, and soundtrack is what made the movie feel retro for older fans while also making it modern for newer fans. The plot itself has a deeper meaning when it comes to acceptance and how both sides have different perspectives when it comes to humans. I can’t wait for the series and sequel to come out so we can see the continuation of this franchise😊

As for someone who grew up watching the 2003 and 2012 show (Currently watching the 80’s TMNT), I really liked this movie. The soundtrack, the animation, the villain, and the conclusion was top notch. One scene I liked in particular was when Master Splinter realized he was walking down the same path as Superfly.

I’m telling you this, haven’t seen any ninja turtles in soooo long, but reading The Last Ronin was something that I have enjoyed reading. That comic book got me back into ninja turtles, in my mind I knew that this comic is NINJA TURTLES. Can’t wait to see this animated movie, your video on every TMNT movies and the last ronin game coming out in a few years. Update: I saw it last summer and I thought it was great. REALLY excited to see Shredder in the sequel.

Very glad to hear that this movie is getting the rave reviews it’s been receiving! While things have changed a bit, it’s good to hear that they’re focusing on the new “Teenage” aspect of the turtles. While it does make me sad that the era of Rise is over, it does give me hope that this new gen of Turtles are resonating with people. Still hoping we can get a soundtrack release for the Rise movie and series, cause hot damn I’ve been watching those just for the music lately! Even got a petition started to draw some attention for it!

I honestly really loved this movie. I have a few nitpicks, but overall, I had a lot of fun and had a great time! And that end credit scene! Oh my gosh, I gasped! As it's own version of the series, it does the job well and respects the original source material. I wasn't a huge fan of Leo and April, but at the same time, Rise flipped the script on everything TMNT, yet it was absolutely incredible. So you know what? This movie was great and I had a fun time. It's no Spider Verse or my favorite version, TMNT 2012, but I had a great time and I'll happily watch it again. With all that being said, COWABUNGA and BOOYAKASHA! Mutant Mayhem

I’m glad that you called out people who hate changes between different continuities. I think it’s frankly very silly when people get pissy over creative takes on old ideas, because TMNT is an iterative franchise, if things stayed the same every time and nothing new was done then what’s the point of making another show or movie or comic? That’s how you end up making everything stale and dull, creativity and reinventions are a blessing in long running franchises. I love Godzilla which has obviously changed a lot over around 70 years, but even in something as comparatively young as TMNT, you can’t expect everything to stay the same even by the second show mark. Things will obviously change and get more extreme, but it’s the execution of it that matters most, and I personally loved this movie for all of it’s absurd and bold choices(I got to go to an early screening of it via my father’s press job and we got lucky enough to win an entire bag of tmnt toys, which I think is insane). Also any complaints about a character’s race, gender, or sexuality changing should definitely not be given the light of day, like when Twitter freaked out over April being black and plus-sized (she goes to high school guys, be grateful you don’t think she’s hot anymore).

I just got home from seeing it and I'm an OG fan and this movie was incredible from start to finish.. A great style of the relative teenager mixed with legit nostalgia both with the characters but the comedy and soundtrack, and they added some swag to a lot of the mutants.. 5/5 I thought this was up there with Spider Verse. 👍 💯

i thought it was a really good movie, i wasn’t all too excited with the leo/april crush just bc of how awkward it was in 2012 but i can live with that, and there were a lot of parts during the end fight that i thought if they ended it there, it could have set up for an interesting sequel, like when the turtles were made out as the villains, i actually thought it would be a pretty cool concept if instead of them being vigilantes, they would be straight up villains in human’s eyes. other than those two things i thought the movie definitely lived up to the hype, the art was amazing, the jokes were funny, i just loved the movie

you are right at 7:52 those who like old stuff from 20years or mirage 39 years ago can rewatch/reread it again over and over ... those fans are stuck in past and no matter how long they wait always someone tells them they can re-read old comics and they don't deserve new content in form of an R rated dark movie or tvshow... I'm salty because I've been waiting for darker more adult turtles for years... and still nothing so when we take this logic where I'm suppose to re-watch old content new Mutant Mayhem for kids doesn't have to be made those kids can re-watch 89show... a little bit of balance to produce shows targeting different fans would be more then appreciated

i am in no way a long time tmnt fan, i only got introduced to rise thanks to an artist i follow on instagram but man, i genuinely am appalled by the fact that i straight up ignored this franchise when i was a kid, i knew it existed but didn't care to watch it cuz i was busy watching phineas and ferb or something but goodness, mutant mayhem was so fun and so enjoyable, i loved the characters here and now that i've viewed at least 4 iterations of the turtles, i honestly enjoy how each iteration has its own uniqueness and nobody sticks 100% to the untold "formula" of the tmnt story, you can have the turtles have slightly different personalities than the past and that's perfectly alright! i'm perfectly accepting to new stories from the tmnt, i loved rise because it's the show catered towards my age and i feel the most connected to it, i love mutant mayhem and it made me feel like i was just the same as the kids who sat beside me watching it, super enjoyable, i love the 2012 iteration (haven't finished it yet) for how silliness can be incorporated into the serious tones but i seriously do not like aprils or any human for that matter being shipped to the turtles, regardless right now it's an amazing show and i love it too! i've seen snippets of the 1987 and i also love that too. however it's funny that donnie is always my favourite in literally every iteration, i just don't get how he's my favourite despite changes happening in a lot of the iteration for the other turtles altering their personalities, but in the end the unchanging (except for rise and mutant mayhem) personality of donnie is just always so nice to me, 1987, 2012, rise and mutant mayhem donnie are awesome (i haven't got time to watch the 2003 yet and i don't have any access to the live action 90s movie so that's a cowabummer)

I loved this movie, there was only one tiny thing i wish happened though, that being saving bebop and rocksteady for the second movie and replacing them with dirtbag and groundchuck, two amazing characters kinda forgotten about. I feel like dirtbag and groundchuck would fit the roles that bebop and rocksteady had in this movie better which was members of almost a rag tag team of mutants, as well as them being able to keep bebop and rocksteady for the second movie so the trio of shredder and them can happen cause i feel like they fit really well as shredders right hand men.

This movie sounds like a boatload of fun, honestly, and I'm 10000% in favor of relatable turtles for the teenage audience. Plus, I like me some edgy turtles, don't get me wrong, but that always lands harder when previously you've seen them just trying their best to be quippy and fun, lighthearted heroes. That makes how hard things are for them afterwards *tragic.* And this is definitely a movie that wants a sequel, there's plenty of time for them to have to deal with disaster and life going for their jugulars. Hey jax Spoiler I’ve seen this movie and I enjoyed it lot but the one thing that kind of bugged me was splinter. Don’t get me wrong I like what they did with splinter in this movie with his little character arc but I felt like they leaned into the dad type too much. For me I always wanted splinter to more like a dad and I like that the turtles call him dad not just master, but in this movie he didn’t really feel like a ninja master. He still got skill but I got too say I think he might be the weakest splinter out of all splinters. Especially how him and the turtles learn ninjitsu. I don’t know what you think,

Mutant Mayhem, was an enjoyable watch for me and my kid. Loved the art style all the way through. The interrogation scene was def my favorite, but the nod to Jackie Chan's fighting style with Splinter was a close 2nd for me.

I really liked Mutant Mayhem Leo was My favorite and most relatable turtle to me I'm an older brother and My younger siblings would always give me crap just like the turtles give Leo 😭😂

Dude, Mutant Mayhem was PHENOMENAL! I was so happy that they weren't afraid to do new stuff with the turtles, they weren't afraid to change certain things, to do something different with them. The art style was amazing, crazy wacky animation that goes further than even what Spiderverse did (not saying it's better, just that they doubled down on one aspect). The score was incredible, so many cool things the did musically, and the story was relatively goofy, but they didn't act like it was the most serious thing ever, they were pretty self aware about it. Also I loved how they portrayed Splinter in this movie, Jackie Chan was HILARIOUS as him. I'm sad there aren't more people talking about this film, it deserves almost as much praise as The Last Wish, if not more.

This is now my second favorite Ninja Turtle movie next to the original, I love that Leo has the crush on her this time around, not for sure they're going to save that for Karai turn off the music animation story and characters where all fantastic and I'm curious how they're going to handle all of that on a show budget

Yo I need those Shredder PJs. I loved MUTANT MAYHEM though! It was so cool seeing the turtles as true teenagers. I thought 2012 did a pretty good job but this movie you could tell they were voiced by teens. I think they went a liiiiiittle overboard trying to cram in as many modern slang words/ references for my taste, but that was my only complaint I thought they killed it across the board. Very curious if/ how much they'll lean into a more serious tone with Shredder and The Foot.

I saw the movie and I give it a solid 8/10 because the beginning was a little slow for me and I wish the other mutants had more screen time but overall the movies pretty good to me
