All I can say is WOW WOW WOW I love the airbrushing tutorials that you provide us with. I actually use all your tips I have Gesso I have panel board. From Lowes I pretty much ordered everything from your Link. That way I know I’m ordering the same thing you have. Brother I just truly love watching you. I can watch you all day and never get tired. I believe I have that same CSI Scriber tool with a variety of scriber sizes. I accidentally ran it through my finger very lightly once and it cut me with little effort. It’s a great tool. Your work looks amazing. Because of your videos I went out and purchased the H&S infinity and a Paasche. I do scale model building but doing a portrait like this one day would be a real achievement. I was primarily using an iawata eclipse and while I like it I feel like it’s very finicky. Sometimes it wouldn’t spray or it would clog. I’m pretty sure the issue is my lack of experience as I just started last year. Keep up the great work.

Man, you certainly have inspired me to a new approach with my airbrush art.....thanks for sharing your gift with us. I want to use cradled wood panels for my work and follow your techniques on them. After study of the TDS from Createx it sounds like I could tint their UVLS 4050 clear and seal the wood with some clear coats, then top that with my art, then finsh top coat with clear satin or gloss. I'm trying to purchase the correct products for the wood panel approach and thank you in advance for any advice you can offer. After all, 100 years after you're dead and forgotten, your art will still be alive ....if prepared correctly, heh? Peace

Hey brother Mark, I’m curious I myself have a Projector. How long did it take for you. To transfer the older lady from your reference to canvas 1 hour, 2 hours, just give me a ballpark figure please. I watch what you are doing. The wrinkles are so so precise. I believe my skin texture kit on Gesso. Not the synthetic paper that it came with. That I learned from you a much better way to go Gesso. Will help me with practice, practice and more practicing. I have all the Skin Texture Stencil not calling no names. They were pretty pricey, I know you make your own. And I do have it as well the hot stencil cutter it gets very hot. When you mention different airbrush artist. On your tutorials, I will research them and I by their products that way I have the best of the best. What ever you mention items for scratching, items for erasing, items for whatever it may be I use your link and I purchase the items. I have the pliers so I won’t scratch my $600 some dollars Iwata micro CM SB airbrush. I have an Iwata eclipse 0.35 as well and I’m in the process of buying. The Iwata Tukumi I probably spelled it wrong but you know what I’m talking about. I believe that I have said enough take care brother.

It generally takes me about an hour. I try to get in all the points between highlights and shadows so when I start painting I can use my shields on those lines to spay them in. The micron takumi is a great airbrush, but very similar to the cm-sb. I didn't notice much of a difference.

Had a question Mark about purchasing canvases. Did you mention in a video a long time ago bigduckcanvas by any chance? I have purchased from Blick as well as directly from Masterpiece Artist Canvas. It looks like Big Duck has some great prices. I was just wondering your thoughts about that type of substrate. Thanks my friend and have a great weekend.

bigduckcanvas is my favorite! I'm actually just about to place a new order from them this week. I've always ordered their normal natural #10 (15oz) Duck and just love it. It's one of the best canvases I've ever used actually. I've always avoided their "artist" canvas. Most artist canvas is made so cheap- even from the expensive brands at blick. If it says something like "carefully crafted for artists", i'm out. 😆

Thanks Mark for always steering me in the right direction. I am so used to purchasing for oil paints that scratching into canvas with all the coats of gesso applied will be something I have to get used to. Taking a knife to canvas is something I never thought I would do. Just Kidding. Plus saving all of us a buck or ten is greatly appreciated. I would rather spend the money on your channel, instead of throwing it away to the online art shops. 👍
