I don’t think Colleen is “complaining” about being pregnant. She is taking us through her pregnancy journey and that’s not always rainbows and butterflies. She’s showing us the reality of pregnancy and I personally commend her, because I have days where I don’t want to get up or do a single thing and I’m not pregnant... now add in the fact that’s she’s pregnant with twins. Keep telling us your stories, symptoms, etc, and thank you for sharing your day to day with us. That in itself seems hard to do, let alone while pregnant, taking care of a toddler, and being a wife. Keep doing the dang thing, girl. You got this! 💪💕

i just wanna say about yesterday’s vlog; the fact that she had “no vlog”, that Erik had surgery to get his wisdom teeth out, AND that she is pregnant with twins, but still managed to get a 12+ minute video for us when she didn’t HAVE to, just goes to show how awesome she is!! Colleen that pain you felt in your head might be an ice pick headache! I get those often, they are awful and usually last from a few seconds to a whole minute.

Colleen, keep "complaining!" Because I wish I had this info when I was pregnant 22 years ago. I had horrible pelvic pain too, and had NO IDEA what it was. I called the phone nurse about it for some advice, and she told me to TOUGHEN UP and to NOT BE SO DRAMATIC! I felt like a failure - like I was too weak to be a good mom. So by you informing others about your symptoms, they can go to their doctors with information/alternatives and advocate for themselves. Stay strong!

In my first trimester with my son I was so incredibly nauseous, I was throwing up every 40 seconds, I lost 36 pounds in 3 weeks. I was constantly dehydrated and had to be on 3 anti nausea medications that only worked for 20 minutes at a time. Everyone loved to tell me, "when the baby gets here it'll be worth it." Like, yes of course my baby is worth this but it doesn't mean that I can't express how absolute miserable I am in this very moment. Pregnancy is SO hard, every feeling you have during your pregnancy is completely valid.

I won't presume to diagnose you since I am certainly not a doctor, but did your doctors mention hyperemesis gravidarum? It's like morning sickness on steroids and is quite like what you described. There's at least one huge support community of women who have dealt with it online, so if you wanted someone to talk to who gets what it's like to be so sick while pregnant or just someone to help answer some questions you still have, there's definitely resources out there for you whether you've been diagnosed or not.

Same sweetie, from when that test said positive to 9 weeks pregnant I lost 2.5 stone, so basically in 5 weeks I lost 35 lbs 😢 I thought I was dying, it was bloody horrid. Hope you are doing ok now xxx

It’s helllllll. I am so jealous of people who had “easy” pregnancies - I know even “easy” pregnancies are tough, but damn I was in the ER 24/7, couldn’t hold any food or water down, was on the verge of getting a feeding tube and lost more than I gained. That’s why I love seeing Colleen’s vlogs so much because as awful as it is and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone it’s really nice and comforting to see that you’re not the only one lol

I’ve never been pregnant, but as someone with chronic illness, I’ve definitely felt ashamed from what people have said to me and being down on myself for not being as productive as everyone else. YES, if you're sick with a temporary illness, everyone is so much more understanding, but when it's long-term/chronic, people stop caring. It's really odd, but it's something those of us with chronic illnesses often notice. I love when you are open about these things. So many people just aren't aware (not that being aware is always an enjoyable experience--ignorance can be so blissful).

I have RA. One of the biggest things is that people don't believe me because they see my good joint days and I'm 25 and a relatively a happy, sweet person. I've had to quit jobs because they didn't believe me and increased my workload.

The sudden headache could be TMJ pain. I hardly ever get "normal" headaches. The ones I get are intense but short-lived and often on the side of my head like where you felt yours, which is where the large muscles of your jaw attach to your skull. Another hint is that it happened while you were chewing. Plus, it wouldn't be at all surprising if you were holding a ton of tension in your jaw these days with all the extra stress and pain of pregnancy. I started getting TMJ massages a few years ago and they changed my life. I know you already have so many appointments in your schedule, but I'd highly suggest finding a massage therapist who can give you a prenatal+ TMJ massage (it's usually just a few minutes at the end of a normal massage, not a full hour on your jaw) and it could give you some relief. Hang in there, you're doing such a great job of juggling everything!

Yep…I thought similarly! I massage my jaw muscles regularly! I also tent to get a headache in that spot if I am going through a caffeine withdrawal. Like if I didn’t drink coffee that morning because I was busy or something!

The trigeminal nerve runs along there. It gives feeling to your forehead, cheek and chin. It's right below the temple. I have a condition called trigeminal neuralgia. It is the most painful thing I've ever experienced. But sometimes that nerve can become inflamed and cause intense pain. Jaw issues would also cause pains there. TMJ would be likely.. You might check if you clench your teeth when you sleep. Avoid hard foods and chewy stuff. It'll pass if it's just a little inflamed or the jaw is sore. If you clench your teeth get a bite guard and that will prevent the pain a bit.

There a group of muscles that connect your jaw to the rest of your head and aid in chewing food. There is one of these muscles located where you said your head hurts, and since you were eating when it started hurting, you probably just over stretched it, or maybe even got a muscle cramp in it. Muscle cramps are often a symptom of dietary deficiencies, which we know you have already been working on correcting, so it is probably nothing to worry about.

I know you can't stomach the idea of meats right now and perhaps some of these would trigger too. But girl, you were just talking about how much you've been loving devilled eggs this pregnancy. Hello protein! I also wanted to suggest seed/nut butters + milk. Almond milk has so much protein and could easily be blended into a smoothie along with some peanut butter and goodies! You also mentioned craving crab, so maybe some more of that! Tofu if it sounds good? Lots of protein there. Just some ideas for you, love. Sending so much love and prayers your way. You got this, mama! 💜💜💜 Edit to add a few more meatless ideas:: Cottage cheese/Greek yogurt Beans (esp black beans) Oats (Oatmeal, Oat Milk) Broccoli & Spinach (high protein veggies) Flax seeds (easy to sprinkle in any dish) Replacing butter with avocado is a great trick for some extra protein.

I’ve always had really severe OCD but there’s always been a part “missing” that doesn’t explain my behavior and after watching and listening to you it became clear to me that I also have ADHD. Like, Colleen, you’re the first person I’ve ever been able to see myself in. Your tendencies, aversions, problems, behaviors, etc. Match mine to a tea. Just wanted to say thank you for making me feel seen and heard because my whole life I’ve felt like a weirdo and people really never take time to understand how others brains can function in a way that makes them completely different.

This!!!! I have PTSD and MDD (PTSD has very similar behaviors as ADHD does, I was misdiagnosed as ADHD from the time I was in 6th grade up until about a year ago!!! Imagine taking adderall for that long, feeling like shit because of it and not even knowing why you feel like that 😷) and have always functioned very differently from other people. It’s difficult and frustrating, especially when people just think you’re “weird” all of the time for acting/functioning in very odd and different ways. Not even knowing why you act in a different way can make life a hell of a lot harder too. I always watched Colleen growing up because the way she processes and explains things is very similar to the way that I do, so it always just made me feel a little more normal watching her ❤️👌🏻

The brief head pain you experienced sounds like an ice pick headache. I have a history of those, and they are SO SO painful - my eyes tear up and I am stopped dead in my tracks with whatever I was doing. BUT they only last for a matter of seconds, then the pain disappears. There’s no rhyme or reason for when I get them, though they do seem more prevalent when I am particularly stressed. Hang in there!

I came to say the same thing! I get them regularly, and rarely in the same spot, it's always random. Either horrible soreness like being punched, or sharp stabbing pain like someone shoved an ice pick in your head (hence the name "ice pick headache")! Either way, it comes on suddenly, is horrible for 10-20 seconds, then it's gone. So weird, but apparently fairly normal!

I don't mean for this to sound like shade at all, but I'm unsure of how yogurt would help PGP (Pelvic Pain in Pregnancy). Yogurt has been rumored to help with things like yeast infections, but that's a whole different ball game. Since PGP remedies are usually keeping up with physical therapy and exercises that strengthen the pelvic floor. Anyway, like I said, I don't mean any negativity -- and I'm glad that it helped your mom with her pain!

That feels like my everyday life” sometimes you just want to scream because you’re suffering so much, but it feels like no one cares because everyone’s just like 🤷🏻‍♀️. 24 yrs. ago while pregnant with my 1st daughter, my stomach also turned purple with horrific stretch marks forming vertically. Now I love purple any shade, in fact as I'm responding to this comment I'm wearing a purple men's basketball sleeveless shirt I reformed into a girlish sleeveless shirt with flat buttons, and embroidered flowers around the neckline, ANYWAYS my point is about I was disgusted with my stomach turning my favorite color. My Ob/Gyn doctor, and my best friend highly suggested I use right away lotion with coconut oil in it everyday from that very day suggested until about 6 to 8 weeks postpartum. I swear to Heaven that coconut oil was magic🥰🥰🥰💯, the color went back to my normal skin color, and the vertical lines that had shown up became transparent😳🤯😍😍😍, they were still there but hard to see. Please try using coconut oil lotion for your stomach discoloration, I swear you'll thank God for coming up with this natural remedy for women's changing bodies during pregnancy🙏💯🥰‼️👨‍👩‍👧‍👧🇺🇸🇯🇵🌏🗻🗾💪💪💪🙏🙏🙏

First of all, Colleen, you’re amazing. Second of all, your sharp pain sounds possibly like temporomandibular joint pain. It can cause migraine like pain and pain when chewing. With the amount of hormones in your body, it wouldn’t be odd for it to develop during pregnancy. I’ve dislocated my jaw a few times and have pain in the same spot, but, of course, ask your doctor before coming to any conclusions!

My mom did not have any type of diabetes and carried my sister and I to full term. I was 7lbs 13oz and my sister was 7lbs 4oz. My mom had 15lb of baby. I have had two single pregnancies and I have no idea how she did it. You are equally amazing! You are a champ to be carrying twins.

I've been watching Colleen for 2 years so I can't say I know too much about Tim, but from what I've seen, he's an absolutely phenomenonal grandad 😍🤗 He was more than happy to receive gifts from Flynn that were really more for Flynn (I'm sure he got proper gifts off-camera), was happy to let Flynn get the first slice of cake, and all-round, seems to be the reason why his kids nurtured their creative and expressive sides. "the craving of food and not being able to eat anything else" was eyebrow raising for me.. sometimes I know I need to eat something, so I go into the kitchen to look for food, but when I find "nothing" to eat, I can end up on the floor crying, not knowing what to do. it's not so much that there's nothing to eat (maybe a small selection at times) but more-so that nothing seems like it would taste good or be satisfying. if i try to force myself to eat something i'm not hungry for, it just tastes horrible (even if at other times it's a food I enjoy), and I end up gagging while trying to eat it. is this... relatable?

I'm not even pregnant, just have hormonal issues and this is a huge thing for me. People who have never experienced it always think it's a joke or being exaggerated but I think it's a pretty common thing during pregnancy.

I have the same thing. I'll be starving, to the point where I would eat "anything", I walk into the kitchen, go through everything, there is always nuts, snacks, or "food" but I don't want it, and I just won't eat. When Colleen said that, it was pretty eye opening, I always called myself a "picky eater" or "bratty", but realized maybe this could be a connection, I also have other symptoms but idk. I also will sit and cry, i've gone over 24hrs only eating one thing just because of this. Same thing with breakfest, my mom will make something but i physically just can't eat it!

Colleen's dad reminds me so much of my grandpas from both sides of the family. We call them "lolo" and "papa". Especially when they were singing happy birthday and he made Flynn help him blow out the candles and when they were opening gifts. They would also make our little baby cousins help them blow out the candles and open their presents. And like Colleen's dad, they would watch with the biggest smiles in their faces. Grandparents are just so precious! 💕🥺

I love your pregnancy videos. Me and my husband have been together 7 years and I got pregnant and people got so mad at me for posting it after 8 weeks. They got mad at me for asking questions. They got mad at me for being scared to get the covid vaccine. I feel like I'm trapped in my room alone and at this point I love my baby but i feel like the world is against me except my husband. I didn't realize you can't be excited about a baby unless you actually give birth. Thank you for making my days a little brighter while I stay up in my room alone with no one to talk to.

Sounds like a cluster headache (also known as ice pick headache). I have a history of them and they’re AWFUL! They’re easily considered the most painful type of headache so the fact that you pushed through it shows how much pain you are in on a daily basis. I’m sorry you’re experiencing all this pain. Headaches have been my one bad symptom past first trimester. I’m currently 27 weeks! They last like 3 days at a time and Tylenol doesn’t work so I can’t take anything for them . 😟 But otherwise, when they leave me be, I feel good. I’m sorry it has been rough for you!!!
