Necromunda is a relic of the original Warhammer 40k lore, unlike what we're seeing anymore.

One thing I personally like about Necromunda is that as someone who does a lot of homebrew stuff is that there is a lot of detail regarding the factions and there is an overarching storyline to consider you don’t have to overall focus on it to make a gang. You can just create a precinct for enforcers and fill it with a few characters and be done with it while a mainstream faction you need to put a lot more detail regarding how it was created the culture and unique aspects of it.

Ashwastes Nomads were my first GW minis, just got into the hobby post-pandemic, I love their tusken raider-esque raiders with a rusty tech aesthetics! I’ll probably start playing Mordheim before Necromunda, seeing it as a ttrpg setting is genius. I’m a 40k lore enjoyer by heart!

What I like about necromunda is that we have named characters like eightfold harvest lord that in lore is described as a some inhumane butcher, a monster that is coming out of shadows to bring carnage and terror for the hivers... And in normal 40k that guy would be just another ordinary NCO for chaos cultist unit XD

Cool thing in 40k that leads to one sentence? The 101st Vendoland: one sentence description and it's just to say that they exist in a two decade old game. The more descriptive cousin of the 101st is the 105th Vendoland and all they have is a short paragraph that states that they mounted a daring defense of their homeworld against the tyranids. So yeah, it's nice to see something with more than one sentence.

Does anyone else think the pre Heresy Imperium should get its rearside unapologetically kicked at least once? With the Astartes completely humiliated and the Imperium forced to retreat in shame from a human civilisation that won't have the Imperium tell it what it needs to do just so that the Manchild of Mankind can throw a temper tantrum?
