FYI, the PS2 version of NFS Hot Pursuit 2 made EA choose EA Black Box as the main developer of NFS until NFS Undercover in 2008, which the PS2 version of NFS Hot Pursuit 2 is saved the franchise in 2000s, imagine the PC version of NFS Underground until NFS Undercover was made by EA Seattle lol Three years after NFS Undercover was released, EA Black Box returned in 2011 with the release of NFS The Run as well as being their last NFS before they were closed in 2013.

Black Box's HP2 has some of the best simcade physics I ever experienced, the way the vehicles handle while still trying to act like their real-life counterparts, in which it does in a satisfying way, is nothing but an absolute joy, i'll never tire of playing this game!

I played other consoles, like Xbox, Gamecube, they aren't same as PS2 version, because PS2's development is different, so I played PS2 version the most till I completed the game, great game!

I love this game until now (PS2 version and still remember that cockpit view). The only thing that I don't like is gameplay repetition. Nonetheless, still a great game.

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 on the ps2 is so satisfying to play I 100% completed this game I always love using the manual transmission with extreme handling to get the car sideways

HP2's car models weren´t really that good, cars like the HSV or the 911 turbo really show that good proportions rule over sheer polygon count. They weren't nearly as good as what gran turismo was doing with their car models.

Sorry but looking at the Ui in the ps2 version. Looks terrible compared to the pc version. The ps2 might be better, but I played the pc as a kid and that’s the one that has my heart ☠️

You are not alone with that opinion. The PC Version seems much more grown up. The Ui and Handling is much better. It‘s more reminiscent of the older, more serious NFS titles. But I get that people in the early 2000s preferred flashy action.
