Beautifully well balanced argument on Yevgeny Kuznetsov's theory. I would like to add one more criticism to it - the replacement that occurs in the absence of the working population. For example: Indian population replacing and taking over jobs, businesses, properties and positions in the absence of working population in Nepal. The country does not stand still in vacuum while the diaspora establishes abroad. More likely, it will change into something completely different, leading to more disconnect.

Few years ago I and my friend decided to stay in Nepal and pursue an undergraduate degree among 2 out of 20 of my friends. I graduated this year and I regret my decision. I don’t see certainty and sustainability here. If someone hits me on a road, I can’t assure if he’s going to jail. My property, family is all at stake here. And thus, I am leaving Nepal this year. This totally depends on individual preferences and choices but for me, I don’t see myself truly living my life to the fullest here with all the political chaos.

@@TerenceBischoffdon’t think will be fixed even in few generations, I left Nepal on 2018 for Australia for better studies and better future, from 2018 to 2025 I take holidays every year to Nepal, I have made good investments in property in Nepal and have been able to provide for my family which could have never been paid I had stayed at Nepal unless I got a high government or private good paying jobs, my plan now is to open a business in Nepal for passive income, I love my country but it would be extremely hard to upbringing the life especially if you come from underprivileged or middle class family

@@sumitmalla1039 well done and you can use Australia as a measure for how Nepal can improve. Defenitely even in basics such as roads, transport and regulations. There is however oceans of difference Australian life and Nepali life. For example the use of horns and chaos on the roads in Kathmandu and surrounding areas. Australians get to grow old and slow (and often obese in a very calm and natural environment. The elderly of Nepal will struggle with diseases due to the air pollution. I think Nepali would be wise to fins an Asian mentor nation such as Japan, Singapore or even Thailand to try and solve some problems. Because Nepal is going backwards in quality of life, life expectancy and healthcare due to hygiene and pollution. I would call it a complete mess and the situation a desperate disaster. Kathmandu on some days is more polluted then Delhi.

I cannot personally see much change in Nepal in my lifetime in terms of forward movement with infrastructure, corruption and addressing pollution. A large percentage of young Nepali seem to have no interest in these issues and instead turn to Tik tok, alcohol.and a new motorbike as comfort habits. Nepal has lost a lot of respect in the international community due to 3-4 ongoing problems and thus the diaspora will have limited chance abroad.

Because it's so easy to be influenced in foreign territory where every culture is different and new. It might be a total shocker and hard to adapt but eventually, it becomes a part of our life. However, if we could also share a bits of our culture, then that would be a great cultural exchange. Our history is so rich that we were never colonized yet most of the foreigners don't even know that Nepal exists.
