You can be nice, kind, sweet to the right person, and still demand respect when required. Those 2 traits are not mutually exclusive. If a woman doesn’t appreciate you being sweet while still maintaining your boundaries, the problem is on them, not you. They don’t accept being treated well because they probably don’t treat themselves well, their parents might not have treated them well, and subsequently they went after the guys that didn’t treat them well because it’s a projection of what they think they deserve. Women who are after assholes usually don’t have healthy mindsets/ boundaries, have low self-esteem and are subconsciously finding ways to confirm that. Speaking as someone who once was a "bad boy", I can tell you an awful lot of women threw themselves at me. It sure seemed fun in my teens/twenties/thirties. Yup it happens to most black men. I have friends that grew up with a single mother and she taught them to be some super nice guy and put up with their bullshit. But specifically only treat black women good and white women are the devil😂 My mom tried the same shit but thankfully I had my dad and my uncles to tell me how to be a man. I always saw women for what they are because of this. Its selfishness they just want black women to be worshipped, regardless of if their son pays the price. My mom made me learn to cook clean and take care of basically every task while my younger sister doesn't clean, cant even make a box of macaroni and cheese, and just takes pictures of herself all day and chases after the tallest drug dealer she can find... and my mom enables it all while being hard on me. When I confronted her about it she admitted that growing up she felt her brothers got away with stuff and had a better life, so instead of correcting it for the next generation, she decided to punish me instead since I'm a man... Let us not proceed as if being nice finishes last is in anyway that persons flaw. That is the one that expects, creates, or demands that nice person to finish last who is found inadequate. If I so happen to be, choose, or live as a "nice" guy then anyone who finds issue with that can kick rocks. The problem arises when the "nice guy" attempts to coexist with those that are found lacking. At no time is that the fault of that guy. It is merely a set up to fail situation. There’s no way I’ll ever change who I am because of someone that doesn’t find you what they think you should be. I like what I like in a woman I am attracted too. If she isn’t what I’m looking for, she doesn’t get my attention. I have had women be attractive to me yet she is so darn confused about what she wants in her own life, it drives me crazy. (I edited this 2nd comment because KZbin edited it to say something i did not say.) Also, I dated a redhead white girl for about 3 months back in 2002. Wasn't serious. It was just something to do when I was off work. She had a neighbor that was a 20 year old black kid (she was 33) who, he was "always leaving" when I'd show up. I knew she was screwing him. And that's all he was to her. But after 3 months, when she wanted me to kiss her, I did. Then she immediately started talking to me about marriage and that she wanted to wait to have sex with me until after marriage... I cut her off. I said, "not looking for marriage. Not looking for sex. But if you find it ok to have sex with just anybody, EXCEPT for the person you're going to marry... then I don't want to marry you." I broke from her that day. She was using me, too. She was using the black kid for sex and using me for money and fine dining. Screwed up, not what I wanted at all. When it looked like there might be a step up in the relationship, and she told me how she wanted it to be, I dropped out. I've been married for 11 years. My wife was not a virgin, but I waited until the wedding night to have sex with her. 2.5 years of courting. We even waited to kiss until the wedding. It was harder for her. I had to literally push her off me at times. But I have standards and morals. After 11 years of marriage, I am no longer the nice guy. She did that to me. Purposely. It's OK. 11 years not completely wasted. I learned how to be at peace with everyone.

I had 13 businesses, and I had 4 major relationships before my first and only wife (a total of 8 girlfriends in my entire life). I had the good guy nature. Sweet, forgiving, prefer others before myself. I got walked on by everybody. The only time anyone feared me was when I fought in martial arts championships. Nowhere else in my life. And I was ok with that. But not anymore. Otherwise, everyone knew me as the Christian missionary minister who would give the shirt off his back for someone in need. I was known as the guy who would play the sweetest piano and guitar music, and I have even played 3 world guitar tours. A few of my businesses failed because of that sweetness. All the women cheated on me because of this. My wife abuses me because of that. It all changed last weekend after I went to my widower father-in-law's ranch with him. He was complaining and using the F word, for over an hour, about his sons, and his catholic girlfriend's sons and her unmarried pregnant daughter. I figured, he's just venting, giving a bitch fest about everyone who is pissing him off to whomever will listen. So... I told him about his oldest daughter punching me in the nuts, for 11 years of marriage, and mistreating me very badly because of her mental illness, and her being a malignant narcissist. All of a sudden my wife's dad began to show me exactly where she got her mental illness from. He told me very firmly not to talk about his daughter like that. Then he couldn't stop. He increased in volume and pitch until he was yelling. I cut him off and told him he was a hypocrite, and that he's not allowed to yell at me. I don't permit it. I broke from everyone in the family that day. He proved he was as bad of a hypocrite as his daughter and that it runs in the family. I cut him off, I'd been helping him with about $3,000 USD per month for medical bills, even to the point that it's hurting me, as I've been financially not able to build my house. It's a house I intend to leave to my wife when I leave her. My wife senses that I'm going to leave her. That's why she spends all my money here and there, so I can't. That ended last weekend. Even my wife is cut off. I control all the money now and I don't let her do credit at her department stores anymore. I'm building her house, and I'm going away to start over. I've had enough.
