Yeah suing for the pokeball but also a whole list of other "patent" infringements no-one knows what they are apart from Nintendo and pocketpair yet. I'm hoping this will make less of a splash than magikarp :) And Thanks, tried some new bits glad they landed.

They have a patent for throwing an object to capture. They recently got a derivative patent specifically for balls. If Palworld had used cards, Nintendo would probably have made a derivative for cards.

They are suing them for several patent infringements. Using a capture item to catch and recruit a field creature has been one example of the many hundreds of patents Nintendo has filed over the years. And mounting and riding on a land and aerial creature and switching between them is another patent used as an example.

You can't really sue over patent infringement without a patent. Nintendo should be forced to list that or shut up.
