Book a tour and they sort your visa. The catch is that the tour has to be from a company officially sanctioned by the North Korean government and you can only go where they take you. No wondering around by yourself.

Malnutrition has been going down pretty fast in the DPRK and they get a lot of help Non profit NGO’s. The droughts and floods all throughout the 90’s and the early 2000’s really set the country back. In those days some people resorted to eating bark and grass. But it was mostly because of nature and the fact that the USSR collapsed, leaving cut off from the world in a sense. But today the country is growing and every year the people’s living conditions get better and they get more access to tech. Like him or not, Kim Jong Un is doing great things for the countries living standards and the people of the DPRK. Now if only the sanctions would be lifted, then the country could really boom and malnutrition would be almost eliminated.
