I love Nick's honesty. He's raw. He's sincere. He's funny. And really smart. He has helped the OCD community immensely - and for that I'm so grateful for him and his team.

Also just wanted to remind you guys, just cuz these videos dont get a lot of views now, doesnt mean they arent helping people. The people who watch these couldnt be more grateful and i know that in the future, these videos will get the exposure they deserve and will reach more and more people that need em.

Cutting compulsions is a key part but not all there is to it.

Hello, I' ve done that already successfully with the compulsions. First I had obsessions and compulsions, for example hand whasing or Do not step on the lines etc. so I cut the compulsions and afterwards I had a longer period without OCD but after 3 years the OCD came back only with obsessions, so after cutting the compulsions the OCD came back as PureO. Therefore my question is, what to do now, what to do with the obsessions/scary intrusive thoughts?

@@christinwinterpracht9301 Hi - I've had a similar journey to you. Mental obsessions are compulsions. So you must not engage in them. A great way not to engage in them is to accept them and "wear" the anxiety. You tell yourself that it's OCD thought. And tell yourself I accept this thought. And move on. Nick and his OCD Recovery mates discuss acceptance in many videos. Also - Reid Wilson, a great OCD therapist who's on KZbin, talks about acceptance quite a bit... But he takes it a step further. He says OCD sufferers should welcome the thought. The key is NEVER, NEVER fight the thought or try to SOLVE it... Fighting and solving are compulsions and will make your OCD worse... Hope this helps!
