THOROUGHLY enjoyed today's video and H.T. is SO full of trademark "HENthusiasm" I think it's ME who is going to burst. Henry always says 'thanks for tuning in' Well I say thanks for keeping making these videos Henry, you provide me with so much inspiration and motivation to get out with the camera

Definitely the long exposure photo. Henry, like you was out at my local Reservoir last night and got nice shots of the Moorfoot Hills with a dusting of snow in May , love it 👍

One little tip: if you're planning on changing the titles of your Wainwright series of videos, to perhaps appeal to the algorithm/search in the hunt for views, you could always group this series into a playlist so people can follow/watch in running order if you don't number them any more.

Of all the Lakes videos up on KZbin, only your ones have so far managed to revive my own treasured memories of that ethereal landscape from the time in 2014 when my much missed dog Lily and I had day after day of adventures with the Wainwrights for the whole of that year up in the clouds and down at the water's edge: a year of adventuring that I'm getting a lot of joy from watching you now tackle in a similar wide eyed way. Pure class

We just sat down and said has Henry posted Wainwright #9 yet...and then up you popped. That fence just looked out of place, we preferred the long exposure of the lake, Isle of Man was spectacular but we love snow topped mountains and moody skies so last shot was out favourite

In the wee hours last night I broke down and bought a Polar Optic 82mm ND filter and a 77-82 step ring. It hurt the pockets, but there is just that beautiful, painterly quality to longer exposures that I love. In the film days my go to was Fuji Velia 50. I loved the colors and the slow speed. Tripod and slower speeds made for some nice images. I need that fix now with digital. Just hurts to pay so much for a bit of glass in a ring. But that pain will fade with the images that can be made with it. So naturally, I preferred the 20 second exposure of the lake. Another keep us motivated video. Loved that panos.

Funny enough I asked a similar question on Facebook about a week ago; what people liked best, a short exposure with streaming and falling water at an old water mill and a long exposure with the same subject. All the non-photographers who reacted went for the short exposure. :)

I quite liked the fence shot, the droplets of water on it helped tell the story of the day for me. The long exposure also gets my vote. Thanks Henry for putting in all this effort in all that weather so I can sit in my comfy chair and stay warm and dry but still enjoy the views. See you for number 10.

Enjoyed the video today Henry. I'm currently staying at a cottage near Setmurthy (actually next door to the Lakes Distillery!) and managed to get up to Whinlatter today, experiencing pretty much every season in the space of a few hours. Managed to get a number of pictures, but none quite as good as yours, though I'll keep trying! It was glorious, and I wish we could stay longer, but works calls 🤷♂️. Keep up the good work. LOL - yeah - I just delivered a print of one of my panoramas - a shot of an island, 15 Km (over 10 miles) off the coast - to my picture framer. Seems I have only about one option - a foam backing, with a rigid white wooden frame to hold it in place, and a glass panel to protect the image and improve the stiffening. It's 2.54 metres wide, and about 80 cm high. And the only bit of wall in the house that's long enough to hang it on is above our bed. Because of the extreme distance, it looks more like a painting than a photograph.

Wow, a really really enjoyable video this one. Loved the pano of Ennerdale water and for me, the long exposure hit the spot. Really nice conditions, lots of contrast to play with the rain, mist, clouds and odd break of sunshine fantastic. Sometimes, given the conditions, the long lens outpoints the wide-angle simply because of the perspective and the way it makes possible the pano which for the wide you lose. Loved it. I can't wait for your next adventure, keep doing what your doing, awesome.

🇨🇦... (we need a CN Tower emoji!) HENRY! How's it goin'!? Back when I taught photography (Hamilton, ON) one of the things I told students is that IF you can get an angle or an exposure that the human eye is not NORMALLY going to see... not used to... then you're half-way there! So I think that that is why the 20 second exposure is (almost always) going to be "fave". The eye is not used to seeing that milky, silky smooth surface of the water... It's automatically INTRIGUED by the image. That's also why we like drone B-footage/shots so much in YT vidz. LOVE your Wainwright series bro! Excellent idea and great results! Cheers!

Although I am a lover of long exposures on this occasion I preferred the short exposure as the essence of this image was drama and the sky and water benefited from the short exposure which relayed it better than the long exposure. The other images were stunning too Henry especially the IOM pano. Even in this short time you have been doing the Wainrights you are amassing a wonderful collection of images

Enjoyed that mate, your really cracking through these Wainwrights . I liked the longer exposure of the lake and agree with you about the leading line of the fence , much stronger image without it.
