It’s called scarcity marketing; when the demand exceeds the offer the prices are going up; like gold; also that’s why brands are creating limited edition products to speculate with the prices; not a big fan of famous brands but I am sure there are so many other better quality no name brands that will never be able to ask as much, and that is all because of Marketing and PR 😊

You guys commenting don’t know that when they offer u a Birkin in the stores it will be around $10k (cheapest option) but once it leaves the store and is being sold at love luxury the price goes up a lot. Hence the resell value. The bags are hand made and the workers trained for YEARS before being able to make one so they are not mass produced.
