Cheating is very common in the military, from both the spouses at home and the soldiers being deployed. When you separate people for years, often young people who are only recently married, and put them under the stress of knowing them or a loved one may die, than the sanctity of marriage starts to erode a bit.

Cheating is bad. That being said, I choose to believe in her story because I don't want to give blind defense to a guy just because he was cheated on, and if the things she was true, he deserved it. Yes, it would be better to file a divorce than to cheat, but he could simply deny the divorce (the way she described him makes me feel that he's the possessive type), since it's a matter that both parties have to agree on a signed document. The only option for her could be cheating. And so, to me, it makes it justified, but only if what she says it's true. If some day evidence comes out that she didn't tell the truth there, then fuck her.

Best opinion on this situation I've heard by far. So far, I've only seen people say she's bad for telling her side, and others say that she's completely innocent just cause she made one doc with only chatlogs from a single source. Because to start off, the claims of her cheating are rocky at best and are only getting boosted by word of mouth/mass hysteria and negative press, and her being the "victim" is probably not the 100% truth, especially if she's withholding more info on her Ex that could probably reveal more context and it's especially fishy how she never tried to debunk the cheating allegations.

i wouldn't dislike froot for much else than the cheating, but its extremely common for women of soldiers to cheat, i remember someone doing a study on a group where i think it was upwards of 70% of men in the military get cheated on by their partner if not more, and barely know any relationships where someone didn't cheat or have other "activity" like 95% or something like that. So as much as we dislike her to me it seems pretty much everyone does it. Its not worth finding a partner imo, not that i ever would be able to.

I'd like to add to the point about accountability. I watched AntHime's video, and around that time I stopped watching Froot, but I kept going back to what I remembered from the now infamous video. I was going through my own therapy at that point, which made me later realize the processes that shaped my upbringing. And then one of the alleged Froot's 4chan post stuck out to me. In it she was speaking VERY badly about her father and sister. I started to piece another behaviours, not only hers, but also her mother's, and see it through lenses of analyzing how events from childhood can affect people. And I have a theory, a rrat, if you will. RRAT part no.1: Something happened in the family when she was young, that created a big divide in her family. Maybe she couldn't quite grasp what happened, but after that she was heavily dotted on by her mum, because [RRAT part no. 2] Froot was worried it was her fault (cue autism diagnosis). So her mum sheltered her and taught her that it wasn't her fault. However, it evolved (through helicopter parenting) into [RRAT part no.3] "you can do no wrong". That would explain lack of accountability on various things: cheating, lying, failures to deliver /k/ patches, Hogwart Legacy drama, et cetera, et cetera... The problem is: noone in Froot's various circles decided to do something about the root cause, mainly because the root cause is unknown to all but possibly her family, and even then it would take a therapy to uncover. She only has white knights (including family and friends) and sworn enemies/haters. At the end of AntHime's interview, CINNA said something about trying to get to her, but [RRAT part no. 4] without Froot's realizing that something from her past MIGHT HAVE shaped her as she is now, there is little to no hope for the situation improving. And considering she has talent (drawing and singing) is such a shame in my opinion.

You would be interested in Erikson's 8 stages of psychodynamic development: basically, we go through 8 stages in our lives, and theres 2 behaviors thats can come out of how they are raised _from a baby_ at stage 1 *needing* skin to skin contact with both parents to build develop trust is important and stage 1:Trust Vs Mistrust, and the aim/'Virtue' is *Hope* from 0 - 1y/o, and those years are very important to how ya actually react, behave, so much - when i found out about this theory, it made what happened in my life make sense (i had a fucked up one, ill not get started) But its around stage 2: 1-3y/o (Autonomy/Confidence In Self *Vs* Shame or Doubt (could be something here imo as her mother defending her on twitter - shows a certain emotion to me and if in a session: this or stage 3, would be my 'start point' to draw out more from them with simple questions, they may have not thought about, and listening, which maybe no one did. Ya get me?)) Then we get to stuff like stage 4, that we start to go through puberty, so likely and in line with your rrat pt:1: stage 4 - industry vs inferiority and the virtue/aim is gaining competence (and here would likely, also, be a place i'd go to ask about gently in certain ways, if in a session. plenty can happen in your school years that just would mess you up - some people are blessed to go through life without having had any hardships it seems and sometimes its hard to actually get a mind changed and a fact that they see as a fact or choice, across to them differently about why X problem is being so hard for this person - i see this so much with couples) But yes, erikson's 8 stages is definitely one to look up and then think about for Froot, what happened to you at that stage, maybe the other happened for her, we dont and won't know likely ever the full story but however, i think it''s better she just go actually speak to someone - and GET THIS SHIT OUT. Seen full on raging men turn to golden labradors basically about a couple months in, then once the bond is made - the real shit just starts flowing out about what has happened. That sounds like most cases where the family dynamic leaves a deep impact on the children. Hypothetically speaking, people who learn from such experiences tend to find ways to avoid that circumstance once they're mature, but it takes a certain amount of awareness and humility to realize right from wrong. From what I'm reading and heard from the video, I have a very vague inkling that Froot was/is fully aware of her actions but refuses to back down from her stances especially when whatever choice she makes will still result in backlash. I don't follow her, nor do I keep up with whatever she does ever since the Hogwarts drama, but it sounds to me that she more or less escaped real consequences and finally learned to not be as loud in order to suppress the people who want to hold her accountable.

I'll never get cheaters, and it's worse if they try to justify it by putting out that it was because their partner was mean or abusive. If that's happening, you leave. It's objectively the right decision in any position, cheating on them is actively making your situation much worse. No one is even going to believe the abuse accusations either if you do cheat, because it makes it look like you could be lying to help justify the infidelity (it doesn't justify it, I'd argue it makes you look even worse and spiteful). I think objectively Froot is a bad person, but what that means to everyone will be different. A fan won't necessarily care unless they're the type to die on principle. A future partner sure as hell should care, but people are often too stupid (or in "love") to know better. Business associates should care, because it's a point in a graph that creates a pattern of behavior, and a downward trending pattern of behavior will translate into downward trending profits because they're untrustworthy and a brand risk. But I'm kind of in the same boat as Nousagi, I never really watched Froot and her content never appealed to me. It's annoying that she buried herself in with much better people than her, and I'm sure that won't come back to bite them in the ass in the future, but other than that it's outside of my realm of interest and investment.

When it comes to cheating, generally, I don't care. It's bad, sure, but I'm not going to date them, so the problem is immediately solved. My problem is when there's people who talk about the cheating, which they are allowed to despite how inconsequential it is or how slimey those people, the company started going after those people (technically it's a third-party company acting on behalf, but let's not be naive) by abusing KZbin's copyright system. Because Vshojo did this twice to 2 other people. This alone has hurt both my trust in Vshojo & Froot.

Oh and it costs money. Doing a take down notice is much easier and doesnt require she say ANYTHING publicly whether or not she cheated. Tho as an aside: as a viewer...why the fuck is it even our business? Unless she committed a crime or scammed someone? I dont know Froot personally and any drama related to a relationship requires a lot more context than ANY evidence we got proves beyond Froot claiming things in her post and others claiming things in theirs.

I don't really care about the allegations unless there is solid proof to back it. But she gives me bad vibes, insincere poser energy, which is why I gravitate away from her content. Silvervale's reason for leaving was very telling of the community that VShojo supports. While it was not directed at anyone specifically, it's pretty clear that the talents had a division in their ideals that formed a rift, which pushed SV, VB, and N away. I think Froot's comment and virtuesignaling is proof of what was going on behind the scenes. While it most likely was not entirely Froot, I do believe she sided against Silvervale. Since I believe Silvervale to be objectively in the right based on the info provided, that means anyone that sided against her is objectively in the wrong. Whether they supported SV harassment or not, does not matter, but more so, that they enabled and fed into it by not supporting one of their coworkers/ "friends" but instead throwing her under the bus. I'm not sure what actually happened behind the scenes, but based on the info provided by both parties, it does not look good for og members of VShojo and specifically not good for Froot since that is the biggest public example of condemning SV.
