Responding to the point that there isn't enough black people working at Rockstar: As a black male in college studying engineering, there's a small amount of us in the stem field to begin with, I even smaller amount of us who go into the fields needed for video game design, computer science, video game design, or any other technical backgrounds that will make you stand out as an ideal candidate for Rockstar games. For this reason, I'm not too surprised to find that there aren't many African Americans working there. As a mechanical engineering student focusing on electric vehicles, when I did my internship at BMW, not only was I often the only black person in the whole room, I was the only black person in my entire department, and many times we would go to meetings where I'm the only person of color in general. The reality of it is that we just don't have enough African Americans pursuing niche topics like video game design or electric vehicles and this is why we see a lack of representation. It is up to us as African Americans to pursue these fields, act with excellence, and be a beacon of light for those looking to follow in our footsteps. This is how we achieve representation in our respective fields

Everyone’s forgetting the fact that Rockstar also created Rdr2, a game known for its gripping story and witty humour, everyone wanted a Arthur/Sadie love story in the game and was disappointed they didn’t get it. I think there’s so much potential for storytelling in GTA 6. My prediction is that maybe one of them is undercover or at least working with police to protect the other but everything goes balls up and one of them ends up dying, of course I’d also expect several endings but that’s the most obvious scenario for me given the clues in the trailer

People are pessimistic about GTA 6 because of 2 reasons. 1, They want to appear as more unique and superior. 2, they are attention seeking even if it's negativity, attention is attention to these people. I can proudly say all of this because all we have is 1 trailer of the game so far and barely any new info and all evidence with the game's budget and anticipation is overwhelmingly positive enough news not to hate GTA 6, and that's not me saying that we shouldn't be skeptical, but to say the game will be trash is beyond Ignorant and dumb.

You shouldn’t be at either extreme. There’s like 3 ways in looking at this. One is the pessimist, which you shouldn’t be in any case. The next is an optimist that thinks every single feature they want is coming to the game. Rather you should find a balance, but lean slightly towards the side of hope. That way, even if it’s not perfect, it’ll still be the best experience you’ve ever had

Even so, Rockstar Games managed to make one of the best if not the best BLACK protagonist in the gaming industry history with CJ CARL JOHNSON from San Andreas and FRANKLIN CLINTON from GTA V and they NAILED IT well and perfectly executed it. There are bound to be people who like making every single thing racial with their psychotic mindsets due to their lack of Capacities and Envy... if Rockstar Games were racial they wouldn't have been able to portray the character of CJ N FRANKLIN. They even went to the extent of giving only FRANKLIN CLINTON THE 3 OPTIONS at the end of GTA V. Which was KILL MICHAEL OR KILL TREVOR OR NONE. There was no option to kill FRANKLIN. I believe it is only fair to respect them.

I think it's fine to be a little worried about gta 6 here. Especially with how rockstar is pushing that whole Gta Plus, Shark cards as well as the tone downing humour. The reason why people are afraid of GTA going woke is because of the recent rise in terrible woke games that do feature a female MC. They're afraid that Rockstar may follow the same path and ruin a beloved franchise like what happened to Gears of War or Saints Row. While I do think the complaints about the female character are brain rot at best I think the criticisms of the game losing its edge are valid. Yes storytelling should be prioritized but it would still suck for a GTA game to be “softer” just to appease to shareholders that could care less about the game. It’s just baffling that a game centered around crime has to worry about holding back it’s jokes to appease to modern society, but we’ll see how true that holds next year.

I think your edgy friend argument isn't that good, even i don't follow that hate trend. People who decide to design a game woke, aren't those small artists, it's the one in higher positions because obviously deciding something this major about the whole project isn't something you do as a small artist joining R*. When you work in the gaming industry, you often will find yourself not really in control of the whole idea for projects you working on, which can be frustateing, because you are more in touch with the customers then the higher ups who decide, resulting in seeing you already the hate coming before the game even got released. This also led often to people who then try to build they own game studio instead. Also, the whole woke thing in media is just so fake, because many companies who have a bad history for all that stuff then out of nowhere pretent to be woke or climate friendly or what ever because it's good for marketing, while behind the doors they seperate they employers by race, insult them, producing a lot of products that are trash, to make more money and populate the earth with trash badly this way and so on. It's just some narcisting personality in higher positions to do just what money brings in and not what is right or wrong. Nobody of these "woke companies" give a s*it about anything unless there is a law or a trend going on to make more money. That's the reality.

I agree with Cyberboi that GTA 6 won’t be “woke”, especially given the majority of idiots who use that term have no idea what it actually means. I think the problem for R* is how the hell do you satirize a country that elected Trump as President & may do it again and a state whose governor is Ron De Santis? Really all they can do is invert the formula of 5, make the world & side characters crazy and the story & protagonists grounded with more emotional depth.

I do agree with a lot of concerns you mentioned. But here are my top 5 concerns for GTA 6 and GTA 6 online. 5. Being woke. I know you addressed this concern, but the reality is that we live in a world where more than ever people get offended over things that make zero sense, and I'm afraid that rock star will give in to this And miss out on the opportunity to make some really well timed the jokes and references. 4. Unsatisfying amount of interiors and interior variety. I'm confident that Rockstar will definitely have more than GTA v and Red Dead, but will it be enough to justify the wait? Will we be able to customize our interiors in more detail? Or will they just be copy and paste like they are in GTA v? 3. Locking things behind a paywall with GTA Plus. I worry that GTA and GTA online will have so many great additions whether it be clothing, vehicles, and their respective cosmetic additions, locked behind GTA Plus. 2. Splitting up of the community. One of my major concerns is that Rockstar will split up the community by offering too many different types of servers whether it's roleplay or whatever. I'm not saying they shouldn't add roleplay servers, but I hope that we are still able to play in free mode while being able to turn on and off our returning signals, customize our characters, vehicles, and locations to the fullest, and interact in ways never seen before all within the free mode, with the role playing aspect of that being where you can implement certain rules and conditions for the server, but I don't want to have to go to a roleplay server just to be able to really immerse myself into the character at the fullest. 1. Vehicle damage physics. The number one thing that I constantly find myself worried about is that Rockstar won't be able to nail that good balance between realism and fun when it comes to vehicle damage. Me on the other hand, I really like when you crash a vehicle, that the wheel is all bent up and you can no longer drive, to me this makes vehicles feel alive and like a really valuable part of the world rather than something that can just be disposed of. Also, it provides police chases with a new level of danger as crashing your vehicle now allows them to catch up and arrest you or kill you. This will prevent police from just running into your head on as they do in previous GTAs. If they can nail this, and make it so that it's the same across GTA online and single player, I will be very happy

I don't care what anyone says but a game where 90% of the player base is male, should not be having a female protagonist. There is some element of trying to pander to a small group of people, and for me its a woke move. You don't see makup companies using males to advertise their products.

Games like the last of us, & Lara Croft are some of the best selling games of all time with a predominant male audience and female leads. Men can enjoy a game with a female lead. Men for the most part will not enjoy putting on women’s makeup products. Using cosmetic products is a bad comparison 🤷🏻‍♂️
