I went back to Fifa19 way better then 20 and close to the current roster. Fifa 16 way even better but most of the FC bayern players back then are retired and the youth players have no potential because EA had not evaluated them in a good way.

Gameplay is so unrealistic and scripted. Many ppl say pes' gameplay is bad but Thts because its actually realistic. I mean most goals in football are scored from crosses and long freekicks, but in Fifa those goals are unrealistic. U can only score certain type of goals, which are those finesse shots and near post goals. Rebounds are unrealistic as well. Its just a mess. U get anthony martial going to valencia then manchester City, u see iago aspas always moving to united. U get TAA always going to PSG no matter what. Its like with transfers in FIFA, it doesn't matter what player u are, if u 80+ rated, You WILL go to Real or Barca. Players playing out of positions. Eg. Kimmich would play in CAM and then Havertz in Bloody CDM and haaland in cm for dortmund and some 75 rated 35 year old striker playing up top instead of him! In player Career mode, I'd choose a squad number for myself, say I choose nr 22 cuz I don't want to be disrespectful and take nr 10 from messi. Then the game decides to force me to wear 10 as well as messi. Then in game it would be me and messi both wearing number 10!!! Even tho I did not choose it.

And don't forget that most teams are overloaded at either LB or RB positions. Sometimes they sign old players with less than 77 overall for no apparent reason. As a result, Barca may have three world class Left Backs and only one Right Back which only has 74 rating. Same happens with the opposite.

Other day I'd been smashing teams 4-0 and got the the champions League final and lost 5-3 when for the whole season I'd not conceded more than 2 goals in a game and had lost less than 7 over the whole season across all competitions. Literally, today, deleted my career mode and the game off my PS4 and wrote a review on Metacritic. This is the first time I’ve got so angry at a game to do such a thing. I “endured” this game for 4 seasons - I usually have a career for 11-12 seasons before I get the next one. Having not bought 19, 20 was bought for me and my friend (at a discounted price) to play couch co-op. The game was enjoyable for a while until we had to score the same type of goals over and over again. But, like you’ve said, they’re more issues that boredom.

i played every fifa from 2009 to 2020 and i never had so many complaints like you guys. like yea DDA is a thing and the games feel scripted at times but you as a player have the chance to counter act it and you just have to look at pro players they counteract it because they know how to. also for ultimate team i think many things have changed to a better experience in terms of how easy it is to build your favourite team now then lets say fifa 15. of course i think carrer mode needs improvemnets but i still love the mode and play it. and i love the changes to carrer mode in 2021 and the changes to ultimate team. i dont think it should get this much hate. also i read about ppl raging and blaming it on the game instead of getting a grip on reality and just realize that you can fucking chill out.

As A fifa veteran player (since 2010 ps3) I have noticed the following in Fut: 1- The CPU defending is overpowered, in other words if the opponent has good defenders they are going to intercept, tackle and pressure you without any effort. 2- From point 1, This will be even worst if your opponent has a high rated team. 3- Your chances to win depend on the strength of your team not on how you play and understand football ( which is not the case for previous versions of FIFA) 4- Longshots and Aerial balls are not as effective as before although these are part of football. I hope these features get fixed in FIFA 21.

Other than being able to put in an application to any team as a real player manager which you’ve mentioned already it would be nice to meet with clubs and pick a team you transfer to as a player! Instead of putting in a request and going to a random team you dont want to play for. Nb 2k has it where you can see what teams are interested in you by percentage 1-100% based on their team needs your skill and your potential. You can also see what their roster is and negotiate what your contract is with money bonuses years and your team role. This would be great to have in fifa also for my career mode

Right now I’ve stopped playing ultimate team because it’s so frustrating and all they care about is making profit like fifa points and promo packs from ultimate team in general. I’ve been playing pro clubs with my cousins well couple weeks into fifa 20 but also I’m having so much fun with pro clubs. During lockdown I’ve been playing career mode with Swansea City as well recently and I’m having so much fun right now. I’ve just basically stopped playing ultimate team for the time being and basically enjoying career mode and pro clubs. I just wish they put some effort into career mode like look at nba2k and even Madden as well but also some changes for pro clubs to male things more fresh. EA are just too lazy and greedy to make some good changes. Keep up the good content Vapex Karma and keep grinding as well 👊🏼

I completely forgot that I was so excited for the new career mode features that I paid extra for early access (which made my checking account go negative) and then when I went to go play it there were so many bugs in career mode that actually made it so unplayable until they fixed it 2 MONTHS later... I had never experienced anything like this with a video game ever before. I couldn’t believe it. I paid extra, went to go play the cornerstone game mode (which built FIFA) and then couldn’t play it until November... INSANITY! I had the beta test code and remember being so hopeful because the gameplay was actually pretty damn good and felt real. I liked it a lot! But then it was like we got a completely different game on release day. It didn’t even feel remotely close to the beta! Even the lighting and environment and mechanics all felt completely different to me. I won’t be falling for that again with FIFA 21, they would really have to wow me for me to even consider them again... 😔

I started with Fifa back in 1994 and I bought most of them up to 2017, but I dont play online, so Career Mode is pretty much all I play, I changed to PES when 2018 came out and I just enjoy it much more than career mode. There just seems to be some bug each year with career mode, sometimes EA dont even fix the big, when they are simple to fix. We had a fault one year when after 7 seasons your team would become £2bn in debt and even of you move clubs, the debt follows you. It was crazy. Also they removed the option to transfer from one league to another, you had to wait for offers, but once you become really successful you get no offers. I found that boring because I liked to build teams up and then move on to a different team in a different league

The worst thing that happened to FIFA as a gaming experience was FUT. Since it was introduced, FUT has progressively become EA's main focus when developing the game and all other game modes have suffered for it. Why would they significantly fix or improve anything that isn't FUT, when they have continued to print money releasing basically the same game since 2014? I bought FIFA 2006 through 2009 on release, yet I've only bought three FIFA games since then, all at a very deep discount. I'm not EA's target customer anymore since I don't play FUT, so why would I give them full price money every twelve months?

Hy Vapex, u can actually use those icons in Career Mode on console . U go to club transfers, but u have to search them by name not by Soccer Aid. Eg. Instead of searching Soccer aid in rest of the world, u search, Pele or Maradona or Ronaldinho. U can also transfer eg roy keane to man utd, start a player Career mode with him and retire and u can actually be roy keane as manager of a club without mods!

Some of the matches have fixed score. I’ve restarted the same matches multiple times and had the same scores ffs. It’s good but they need to stop slacking

As a career mode player the gameplay is awful. Feels like the game is either working against you and you can’t do anything about it or it’s making it dead easy for you to score. It’s also really slow and has made the game very boring to play.

I would like EA to create a mode were you can play in the 60s 70s 80s 90s with old kits and old stadiums with Icons like Cruijff, Litmanen, Baggio, Ronaldo etc. At least to do something different in FIFA 21

I usually stick to career mode on fifa and it really put me off this year when to actually succeed in the game you have no choice but to go invincible. I ended up going back to 19 cause 20 crashed on my xbox and my god the gameplay is so much easier. EA need to pick up their game big time for us casuals because at the end of the day fifa is meant to be a fun experience that doesn't get boring

I can't believe that some of the best players in fifa 20 still have the same faces as in fifa 16, for example Messi, Rakitic, Cristiano, Toni Kroos, Benzema, Firmino, Mané, Lucas Moura, Willian and others ... Why don't they update them?
