This is good for fleets where cars come back for charges all day long. Unplug when done, go to the next car that needs it.

Great, now my robot can sit in my autonomous EV, complete my errands, return home and this device will ensure 100% charging.... NICE!

If you're going to replace YOU with autonomous tech, What is your value add in this arrangement?

This is awesome tech for hotels, valley parking, ...

Let's say they get the cost all the way down to $1000, the user makes $33/hr (above average), and takes 6 seconds to plug in manually. It would take >18,000 charges to be a worthwhile investment. Compared to a robot mounted to the wall it's more expensive and easier to steal. So who tf is it for?

It needs to mount to the wall of the garage, not be on the floor.

This feels five years too late. If it was $125 retail, maybe it would do well. CES is where the term vaporware came from, and sadly, this just seems like vaporware. Nice guy, cool product, but I just don't see a market for it. People forget the sea of failed inventions. So many reasons why they fail. I hope he proves me wrong about this robotic plug-in gadget not having a market.

Seems very stealable! And level 2 I presume, so you'd need almost as many of these as there are parking spots if you have a busy garage. Can't see it being a good value for a home garage. But glad people are coming up with these new ideas.

All we need is a wireless charging dock. This seems like a side quest of a fucking bot.

Why use a robot to plug in an EV? Induction charging is here now!!
@pistonburner644814 сағат бұрын
Because a) Induction charging increases losses massively. And no, don't believe any lies about them not having huge losses. b) Induction costs so much c) There are no standards agreed yet

Which EVs bought off the lot today can do induction charging? How much does adding induction charging to my EV cost vs. the amount of times I will use it?
