!! The note to spray them with honey water is a revelation!! I often have problems with my flowers not setting fruit, and I recently realized it is because there are so few bees! I could not think of a way to attract them back (I already have a flower patch, in addition to my 2 potted pomegranate trees) so this will he very helpful! 😊

this is BAD advice. honey carries American Foalbrood spores and will transfer the disease from your honey to other hives thus killing the hive. the only cure for AFB is buring the hive, honey, bees, and any thing used in the hive. so DONT do this.

Thanks for liking the video. For this reason, I have my own bee hive and in most countries governments are supporting this. Bees are allowed even in multi-story and multi-unit housing in busy cities. Unfortunately, the corporate greed has brought us here. This is the way to go now. If you want real milk, have your own cow or a goat. If you want real honey have your own bee hives and if you want healthy vegetables grow your own. Not all of can do it unfortunately, so we are at the mercy of human gods.

I have plenty of Pomegranate fruit without having sprayed the flowers & fruits (while they are forming) with water, but, on some evenings dew forms on the plants & ground, & that may help when it does. . . . However, not so much during our summers (Inland, Southern California). . . . Wind knocks quite a few of our flowers off ... &, splitting of fruit happens if I water too often while it is forming. Once every other week is good in our heavy clay soil, no more. . . . We also have Hummingbirds that often visit our Pomegranate's flowers, so I suspect they may play a part in helping the flowers become fruits. (: Pomegranates are a favorite fruit of mine! Both 'Wonderful' and 'Sweet' varieties, and probably others that I haven't yet had opportunity to taste!

Should produce fruit within 5 years, if you grow from seeds. If you used branches to propagate plants than it should be 2 years maximum.

@@nelsontan8328 the things that I can think of, is that may be a small variety or otherwise the plant is not able to find enough nutrients. Fertilize it well but not too much. Is the soil very compact ?
@imranjaghoori96433 жыл бұрын
If you radically pruned like you said, then you killed all the chances of the plant producing any fruits. Pomegranates produce flower, and thus set fruit, on the previous year’s wood. Prune only the dead woods.

I would say it is a fungal infection. The most common frustrating diseases in pomegranate are caused by fungal infections which can be the hardest to control. The frequent culprits are Alternaria fruit rot, Aspergillus fruit rot and Boytrytis. Find some antifungal from local garden shop or from the internet.

Hello, I don't believe #2 is necessary at all, at least not with my variety of pomegranate--Parfianka. Also, there are both male and female flowers on pomegranates. The male flower will never turn into fruit and will naturally dry up and fall onto the ground.

These suggestions are not going to cure the common problem with pomegranate flower falling. Access of watering, spraying of honey into flowers are not the accurate tips. Somebody has told me that it is due to the deficiency of a particular nutrient during flowering season. Some told that a moth like insect deep into the flowers. However the quality of voice and pictures of this video was good.
