Thank you! I abide in the Lord and I don't have a hard time with praying for myself to obey, change, work on myself etc but I do struggle with praying for blessings for myself. The Lord has addressed this with me but I feel guilt, I especially want my time in prayer to be for my husband and children's benefit more than my own. I know the Lord has let me know that praying for my own successes, blessings, walk and sanctification are essential because I am important to Him, He loves me!

I can attest to praying for myself, especially the last several years, for me it's Psalm 46:10, which my mother referred to when I was an adult, and I thought she was crazy, but she was RIGHT!!! I was forced to be still, and I had to make the choice to trust HIM as things got very difficult for me, He has helped me become more loving, giving, and the chances for people to be moved for the better because of how I was changed because I was finally able to pray for myself.

I don't know who you are but I'm so sorry you are suffering and I understand. The only thing I can do is pray that a breakthrough happens.

Oh, and I do know that unless you are saved, The Lord does not hear your prayers. I don't know if you are saved or trusted your life with Christ but that is the first step. Next I'm working on total surrender of what is making me sad, depressed, angry etc. I've seen some amazing things happen when you totally give up that 'thing' and give it to Christ. It's hard I know, and I'm still working on it.

Pray for yourself Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Jesus told His disciples, 'Pray so that you will not fall into temptation.
