@@PHlophe Wow thats an amazing project that could possibly save millions of lives, maybe we can collaborate in the future. Building my EMR software, i had to consider that Nigeria is a multi cultural country and hence a multi lingual country, using Yoruba would just make the software accessible only in the south-western part of the country, so i had to build it using English which is our official language and generally understood tongue. Thank you very much for your perspective.

Great video brother! Quick question, I’m about to graduate CS and I do a lot of fullstack web dev stuff. It was my focus within my degree. That being said, I’m looking for roles in that area and I was curious if you had a preference for the best job posting application. Like indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor , etc. I feel a tad overwhelmed by all these applications and was wondering if someone like you, with experience, has a preference that was successful?

Hey Gyasi, first off i just wanna say i definitely enjoy the ootd portion of the video lol. I’m a huge sneaker head/fashion enthusiast myself so it’s super cool to see someone with the same likes in the tech industry. The second thing is, I’m trying to pursue Front-End Development, but this video doesn’t necessarily talk about the longevity of it? Unless Software dev is synonymous with it? I’m assuming not. But i guess what I’m looking for is if there is job security within front-end development from here on out. There are many tools like Bubble and some other names i can’t remember that do no-code variants. Whatre your thoughts? Is Front-End dying from your perspective as a front-end developer? Thanks (side note: favorite Yeezy is any 750 lol).

For the most part, the resume is the key to getting internships and jobs. Employers will take about 6 seconds to look at your resume to see if you are good fit. Make those 6 seconds count. Next tip is, apply, apply, apply. There are hundreds of stories where people apply to 100+ jobs and barely hear back. It can be very discouraging but, keep applying and you will find an interview. Last tip is pretty basic but, shouldn't be forgotten. Prepare for interviews!

great video, I can't agree and be more motivated to start a path toward the field. My thoughts are that I hope (if you haven't touched on any previous video) is being an engineer as an African American. Understandably so, the subject is we all try to avoid as a society which is why I personally feel will slow down our progression to move to pass it. I would like to hear you speak on what possible roadblocks you ran into because of your race, how often did you realize the difference in the community you are in that you are the exception unfortunately not the norm, and did this all the more motivation to succeed beyond your expectations? FAN FOR SURE, continue to be an inspiration and sold voice to the community.

But what if I'm really bad at coding and I want to work in the tech industry... This field overwhelms me so often because of how fast everyone learns and that always ruins my self-confidence. As someone who's a slow learner, would u still recommend programming as a profession? Computer science is one of my combined majors but I really don't know if I want to continue, because of all the intelligent people I'm surrounded with and seeing how much fun they're having on their internships. I can't lie, job security and money is definitely a big reason why I wanted to pursue this field but I'm really lost now and I don't know what to do.
