I have Mazda 6 2004 I’m not sure but I think the fan is always on and when I turn of the engine the fan stays on for 30 seconds to 2 minutes?

Coolent circulates from coolent tank only when coolent is more than hot. If engine does not get over hot it won't circulate may be.

Some cars have a fan control unit installed on the fan that controls the fan speed according to the temperature of the coolant and the IAT. Two places to also consider

My 2004 Corolla has 198000km or 123000 miles on it. So basically a baby LOL. Everything runs fine. However the fan turns on as soon as i turn the key to second position and stays on all the time. Even from a cold starts. It only comes off when i shut the car of completely. My other cars (Honda and Acura), fan turns on when necessary and then turns off. They never stay on all the time like this. Not sure if this is a toyota thing, or i have an issue somewhere. Only had the car 2 months. Its always been this way Car never overheats, I drove the car on a 30 hour road trip no issue. No engine light on either. Any Help is greatly appreciated

If things are working properly, an electric fan for the cooling system should cycle on and off on demand according to the temperature sensing switch. It will typically cycle on when in stop and go traffic but shut itself off as ram air will provide enough flow when traveling.

I have problem with air conditioner, it doesn’t blow cold air in a slow speed, when you stuck in traffic or idle, The pressure is perfect, it blows cold air when car is drinking normal. I took it to a few mechanics and they keep saying you need to add refrigerant. I know a little about hvac for he but not for cars. Please let me know what can i do. I don’t want to take it to the dealer before i talk to you I am in Maryland, i wish you were closer Thanks for your help

whats considered a few minutes? i just got a new to me car...2021 buick encore, black on black... its been unusually hot here in FL.. 100... ive never had a car where i have heard the fan continue to run. it ran roughly 25 min after shut off.... is THIS normal?

It's definitely not normal. The fan should run no more than 5 minutes. It also depends on outdoor temperature. The fan may run a little bit longer.

Did you look into this? I have a 2018 Buick encore and out of nowhere my radiator fan will randomly stay on after I shut off the car. Not abnormally hot and not every time I drive it either.

I removed the fuse 40 amp and replaced it did not work, I replaced the relay it did work until I went for a drive and it kept running when I turned off the engine. I have to check the wire diagram I hope it's not the wire.

Hey it was a wire issue I got a mechanic to fix it I hate messing with the wires. It's another thing that can be wrong with the fans.

The same thing happens in my wife's CRV. My mechanic told me the issue is the fans. The car has TWO fans. One is supposed to always be on when the car is running. The second one is supposed to turn on when the AC is on. However, if that second fan won't turn on (bad motor maybe) then the car will only cool down when the air is blowing through the front. So basically, replace the fan.
