I always wonder, if we lived in a matriarchal society, would these kinds of things be commonly taught in our schools, in health care settings, in the medical field? Instead, these topics are a 'niche' that you have to be lucky enough to stumble upon or hear about. I've brought up seed cycling to women doctors and nurses during my appts and they've never been familiar with it. So many of us know nothing about how our bodies work or what they need. Thanks for what you do, Beth!

I began seed cycling in parimenopause and all the crazy systems are quite tolerable. I sleep well enough and have some energy most of the time. I need it my dog is strong and psyco. I have good nutrition habits and I'm eating for insulin and thyroid as well as my "cycle?" With all these things going on I'm not storing fat. I support the female hormones with herbs and I too make a chocolate protein coffee seed shake. It's so good. I just shared this video with my sister. Thank you

I love sesame seeds! I like to sprinkle it on top of carbs like cooked quinoa or rice - it adds a fun texture and extra flavor :) If you grind the sesame seeds, it's even more aromatic. You can also blend the sesame seeds with extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice and a bit of water to make tahini and it's amazing!!

Does the second phase (sesame seed and sunflower seed) start AFTER ovulation? If someone has a 28 day cycle but typical ovulation at cycle day 16 or 17…do you start the second phase once ovulation has occurred ?

Can we roast sesame and flax or are they to be eaten raw? I dont mind raw. So for menopausal women it'd be the same right 15 days pumpkin +flax then 15 days sesame + sunflower

Can you just have 1 tbsp of each pumpkin and sunflower seeds at the same time all the time if you are menopausal

Would you only do vitex the second half if your cycle?
@DrBethWestie2 ай бұрын
Because vitex helps with progesterone production, so you wouldn't want to take it during your estrogen phase!

It can help to regulate hormones, which in turn can help with hormonal symptoms. You want to at least go through one hormonal life cycle which is 3 months.

Hey! I've been doing seed cycling and taking some of the herbs that are in your herbal supplements and yes I've been taking them in the correct phases, and my appetite is increasing, is that a good sign before had I hardly ever got hungry before but I'm feeling fantastic so I'm assuming it's a good thing. I haven't been able to loose weight for the past 5 years and when I would go into a deficit I would gain weight. But I'm also really focusing on nutrient dense foods now and asking sure I'm getting the minerals and stuff that I need for my thyroid. When I took a thyroid test my testosterone and TSH were low. So I'm hoping this is a good sign with my appetite increasing. Also I am hoping to finally loose this extra weight I just don't know at what time would be safe or even what to do from this point.

What is your opinion on evening primrose oil? Does it work with fighting PMS? And could you take it and also seed cycle?

Awesome video! I currently have paraguard iud and am about to start taking birth control pills to schedule my periods less often than once a month. I’ve been seed cycling for about 5 years and love it. Would I still follow the moon as my seed cycling calendar since I will be scheduling my period around vacation or inconvenient times? Thank you for your advice.
@DrBethWestie2 жыл бұрын
If you are on birth control you are not having a real period, it's a withdrawal bleed. So you can still follow the same seed cycling calendar you are now to help with natural hormones.

Ok so I am on day 2 of seed cycling & day 7 of my cycle and a very positive early ovulation positive strip. I am sick so that might have caused it. Do I switch to sesame & sunflower now?

First I am so sorry. In terms of the phase you’re in, if you haven’t gotten a period yet you can start in the estrogen phase. Do that for 14 days, then switch to progesterone for 14 days and keep up that pattern to help regulate things.
