Thank you for this video! There should be more comments for sure. If I had to hazard a guess why people don't like to shadowbox it's internal work with no external reinforcements and feedback, in a sense it exposes yourself and you have to actively time your movements, breath, distance, etc. precisely to use what you've learned.

I just started shadow boxing today. last week I practiced for just 2 days working on maintaining upper body and arm and hand position while doing footwork. not throwing punches around or anything just focusing solely on mobility advancing retreating pivoting that sort of thing. yesterday afternoon I started incorporating punches and my whole upper body is getting more sore as I work this over night shift. I'll be ready for another round after I workout today.

Can you show some combos to incorporate in shadow boxing? And how often should we do it to improve on all levels?
@BattleLabs4 жыл бұрын
Yes I will make shadowboxing combos vid soon. As far as training goes, I'd suggest it daily atleast 10 minutes a day. You can use it as a warm up before your training. I also do suggest shadowboxing for long durations such as 45 - 60 minutes, 1-3 times per week. Focusing on technique and studying your movement.

Can shadow-boxing also help in getting to grips with defense? Last time Badr Hari got knocked out he missed an essential element in his defense I suppose. His opponent (from Poland) was not necessarily stronger, but smarter in delivering a high-kick without “early warning signals” on the moment Badr Hari’s defense was under par. Happy to hear your opinion… And thanks for your video. I liked it!

Brother respect. I am not trying to sound like a d.b but shadow boxing will not help with your active defense only keeping hands up . Just think if your moving punching kicking with your self you need to know that in training you need to sparr to build that reflex . Shadow boxing for 4 or. 5 rounds drilling great combos builds power stamina and crisp sharp strikes . Hitting something takes less energy then missing
