Cristina, love your sense of humor and honest commentary 💜 I always thought that in Southern Europe at least we have this sense of community, going out and socializing but seems everywhere in the West we have lost much of that old way of socializing. Can you also please let us know what is the weather like after khareef? How long does it stay green? Is it dry but green after khareef? If yes, that could be a good season to visit too.
@toohappytobehomesick4 ай бұрын
Hi, Eli here. I do agree, we are slowly losing our sense of community and of socializing. I believe smartphones and social media play a big role in this. As for khareef, I’ve lived in Salalah for 5 years and I can tell October through November are the best months to visit both the north and the south of Oman. In September little by little the rain stops and it’s all green until October. In my opinion Christmas and New Year Eve are the worse moments to visit Oman because there are too many tourists
@حياكممطعم3 ай бұрын
Welcome to my city Salalah. The rainy season in Salalah is the month of 7.8.9. Now the Serbian season begins in Dhofar. It is still green, but now the sun’s rays are direct. It may dry out and turn yellow in the months of 10 and 11. The weather is light and moderate humidity until the cold weather comes in the month of 12.1.2. Search In Google, type Dhofar Serbs

Sister Cristina has made the right choice, happiness is more important than many materialistic things that we strive very hard to make available for ourselves, but they don't give you piece of mind. Not sure but it seems like simplicity, and to some extend "poorer" people have more joy and appreciation of life regardless to what they have or don't have!!! Even the prophit of Islam said the following:- LOVE THE POOR The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "O God, grant me life as a poor man, cause me to die as a poor man and resurrect me in the company of the poor." His wife asked him why he said that, and he replied: "Because (the poor) will enter Paradise (before) the rich. Do not turn away a poor man even if all you can give is half a date. If you love the poor and bring them near you God will bring you near Him on the Day of Resurrection." - Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 1376

Thanks for your suggestion. However, I’ve lived in Salalah for 5 years and Cristina a little less, and we both know that it’s never hell hot in Salalah. During khareef - which is considered autumn - is cool and pleasant, and for the rest of the year it’s very humid and hot only let’s say from April to June. It’s way different from the rest of the Sultanate, where from April on you can find temperatures from 40 up to 48 degrees
