I design and manufacture sleep pillows. When you see pillow densities listed as; soft, medium, firm, and extra firm, you need to read that to mean; thinner, thin, thicker, and thickest. So, a ‘softer pillow’ is technically the thinnest in the grouping of densities. This specifically applies to feather pillows or down pillows. Additionally, standard size pillows are the ‘smallest’ of the sleep pillows (20” x 26”) while king size pillows as you might expect are the largest. You should still use a pillow protector (defined as having a zipper) and a pillowcase which does NOT have a zipper and wash both of those items every weekend with your other bedsheets to slow down the yellowing that typically happens with all bedding over time. I hope that helps.

When I had my hip replaced 22 yrs ago, they had me use a foam wedge to keep my hips apart until I was healed. To this day, I still use a pillow between my legs as it helps with my back which I also had a discectomy on. Only thing that sucks about it as when you toss and turn, you have to move the pillow with you.

Try to find a way to either fasten velcro tabs on it to use velcro straps to wrap around your legs or something with a hook like a bungee cord that you can wrap around legs but fasten to the wedge. Just some thoughts on the idea to jump start trying to help the problem. Good luck!

Ive been doing this for more than 20 years... Best to get a body pillow, about 4-5 feet long, keep you ankles, and knees separated equal to about the width of your hips. Also, sleeping on your right side, aids in digestion and passage of food from your stomach as you sleep, You stomach entrance is to your left side, and the exit, to your intestines is to the right side. Sleep on your right, gravity pulls everything in your stomach to the bottom, exit of your stomach. Sleeping on my left, and I get acid reflux sometimes... the food is stuck at the top, entrance of my stomach.
@mmacmobile5 ай бұрын
I sleep on my left side to prevent reflux. Everything I read suggests sleeping on the left side. Since I always slept on my right side and occasionally on my stomach it was an agonizing process to get to where I felt comfortable with changing sides. I guess whatever works is the way to do it.
