India's education system is not something Indians are proud of. Student suicide rates are some of the highest in the world (28 suicides a day), exams are over competitive and you really need to be lucky to be selected for admission any institute, let alone IIT. Outcomes are really poor too, students barely have a basic understanding of their subject, high school students are functionally illiterate. The entire system is a oppressive Darwinian petri dish of survival of the fittest. Calling it competitive is not the word I would use to describe it. Fun fact: Satya Nadella is not from IIT, he came from Manipal Institute of Technology, a private University.

hii, you are right that Indian education system is bad, but when you go to high school it start to get competitive and most of them very high knowledgeable but the problem is that they cant use it because of massive rote learning , a high school 12th grade student of India preparing iit jee exam is comparable to a decent college student of Uk America or canada in b tech.

@@user-lv1jk9qb9t I hope not. I think it just comes to demographics. There is 3 times as many Indians as there are Americans. Which should mean about 3 times as many people who are qualified to do these jobs(in practice it's going to be slightly less, because India doesn't have the best living conditions). If these people are qualified and can travel to pursue career abroad, a lot of them are going to seize the chance. I say good for them.

@@eternalsunshine313 Its still a rampant problem in most of africa, and several asian countries. Back in 2018, 13 million people in China didnt have toilets, hence defecated in the open. This was also the case where I am from, Vietnam, Just 2 decades ago over 20% of the population defecated in the open. Those countries fixed the issue of basic sanitation as their economy grew and living standards improved. India is improving this issue at a significant rate. Back in 2015, 43% of the people in India did not have access to toilets. Today that figure has decreased to 14%. India will have successfully achieved 100% basic sanitation by 2028. You can ridicule developing countries all you want, if that makes your tiny incel brain feel better.

Great video! Now let’s finally learn how to pronounce some of these Indian names properly. Sad being the CEO of Google and having your name mispronounced. Just like we Americans have learned to pronounce pho “fuh” and not “pho” when we order at a Vietnamese restaurant. Sundar is not sundaaaahr… it’s “Suhnther” with a soft “th” not hard. Satya is not Sahtyaah… it’s “Suthyuh” with a harder “th” than with Sundar.

There is a huge difference between "Born in India" and "Made in India". My two cents to this video is they are "Born in India" (which tbh doesn't matter coz it wasn't your choice) but they are "Made in US" since they studied, worked super hard and built connections in the US after staying here for decades. So connecting India with CEO-ship is a simple statistical correlation and its emphasis I think is a complete mis-direction, and quite frankly an insult of their sheer hard work.
@kevina5519
@kevina5519 2 жыл бұрын
I definitely agree with this .To be a ceo you have to have connections within that company that takes year to build by working your way to the top.Also a ceo resume has to be better then any other ceo because there a lot of qualified people that are applying for that job and top us colleges have to be on your resume.The connection to the founder and board members help also.
@libshastra

I would rather say the Indian CEOs are "Born in India", "Made in India" and "Reforged in the US". The work ethic and competitive spirit and being scrappy definitely comes from living in India. If you manage to graduate from India and make it to the US, you have successfully won the Darwinian game of being a student in India. The rest is exactly like you said.

Umm not Really .. Indians Made USA Technology what it is today ( and that is from bottom to the top, at all levels of work and mangement ) Starting from low level engineer to the top CEO level All Tech Companies have more than 50 % Indians filling the vital roles. I'm from India and 7 of my own cousins work in the Silicon Valley and 3 of them have already made more than $1 Million before hitting the age of 30. Now the value they added to the companies was worth over $100 Million to their respective companies and they just got a very small share of it. Now if you just look at the IIT's ( Indian Institute of technology Delhi/Mumbai/Kanpur/Kharagpur/Madras etc. ), then they have produced more unicorn startup Founders than all Ivy League Combined in the entire world. But a Westerner will not know that. So they are not made in USA, they are 'Made by their Indian Parents' who believe excellence in whatever you do is the prime objective of life, and you can't waste and throwaway your life watching videos on the internet. Not a single white american will be able to clear the JEE Exam held in India for entrance to the IIT's in India. You gotta study 18 hours a day for 2 years straight and still 99.9 % Fail. The system in India strengthens you so much that everything feels like a breeze in the USA. Now coming to the question why India itself isn't able to create large tech companies like USA. 1. We do create many tech companies but most of them get bought by Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc. at very early stage. 2. There are already over 100 Unicorns in India and now India is almost the 2nd largest country in the world in creating Unicorn startups 3. For every country retaining the top 1 % of the talent is vital, But the top 1 % of Indian talent goes to the United States to develop the USA. 4. Indian Politicians don't have the sense to understand all of this and they have 50 IQ and Billions of Dollars in Corruption money and they suck the system and the resources dry in India. 5. Therefore, the talented Indians leave India for the U.S as they get a better deal in the USA ( better roads, better infrastructure, better schools, better freedom etc.
