“Is your father still alive?" That's poor journalism.
@oneforallah5 жыл бұрын
3:10 He says "Now you're father is still alive, (yes) and he must be very proud of what you've achieved" don't twist it to make him look bad, we don't do that. He said that as a matter of fact it wasn't a question although Satya bothered with a yes.
@rishipalbhatia5 жыл бұрын
Lucifer Morningstar you're right. It could be an assertion instead of a question. I hadn't heard the "now" before. Regardless, it's a tad bit impolite to assert that someone's father is still alive.
@oneforallah5 жыл бұрын
@@rishipalbhatia Indian's in general go to extreme lengths and do stuff to make their parents happy - good grades, trying for a government job, gaining societal respect, get married to a person of their liking, have kids, always ask for their input, account their liking etc .. and Satya especially talks about his dad a lot even when he has talks in India or abroad so I think the interviewer might have followed up on his pattern and put that assertion. Although I agree it would have been super awkward and impolite in any other case. Here it's more like he is subliminally asking Satya does your dad actually know of your success and how truly significant you are to the world ? by saying your "dad must be proud"

@@oneforallah it's not considered as a healthy thing to say that ," now, your father is still alive......" in our country. It's considered as bad manners. It comes across as very rude. Yeah we do go to extreme lengths to please our parents and that sucks😂😭😭

I think he wanted to say that Hyderabad is in the central part of the state Telangana. But who cares, it is so proud to see someone at that position.

People who are getting offended by the south and central are really too mainstream how can they be not proud but offended. I don't want to sound racist but I really have found that South Indian are overProud of their region.Please don't divide doesn't matter its south north east or west his origin is India. And let it be that way !

Karthik sachedeva have you not seen videos of Punjabi’s talking high of their region, culture etc and so do entire north , there are multiple videos making fun of South Indian movies or language or culture . Knowingly or unknowingly you are one of those, making mean comments and generalizing about South Indians. The issue with considering their region superiors is universal thing, so stop generalizing and pointing. Yes you are a racist, believe me baby
@sangouda16455 жыл бұрын
Not generalising bro, but south Indians are generally more honest and hard working

Many say Maharashtra too comes in South India.. as per map it actually comes in central. The thing is we don't count anything as central ..it's either north or south ....so anyway it doesn't really matter n I don't think people who r talking about it are anyway serious about it.. take it lightly..

He became CEO of Microsoft, that's an achievement, we should appreciate irrespective of his origins or race, people who are posting negative comments must have failed in Microsoft interview, or never got call from Microsoft for any jobs, or couldn't even pass a bachelor degree, negative commentors have some serious problems in their life...

Hyderabad and Manipal, where he studied engineering are certainly considered to be in south India, but not south enough. We have two major states to the south. Incidentally Sundar Pichai is from Chennai in one such state, which is deep south.
