It's not that the drugs, prawn and video-games are too good to resist, it's that young men's lives have been made so hopeless and devoid of meaning that any form of escapism is preferable.

...and we're not even allowed that increasingly. Can't have hot hoochies in games, can't use certain risque search terms without getting the finger wag on the hub, and drugs...well, who wouldn't want to be able to feel good for once? I hate that most drugs exist, but after some deeper downs in life, I can understand why people turn to them. When your existence feels dull, you feel powerless, etc, etc...living to work to have little if anything you wanted in return for your sacrifice...a cheap thrill seems reasonable, until it becomes the devil on your shoulder

Exactly. I am 47 and I don’t blame any young man telling the system F U after the horror show I been through in corporate America for decades now. They should just keep doing what they are doing. Boomers will won’t get it because they had it easy
@eliasadam2345
@eliasadam2345 20 күн бұрын
@@BillyTheBuffalo34 They didn't have it easy growing up, most boomers I know had to bunk with a brother or sister, no TV in each room like the Millennials mostly got their own rooms plus TV plus a gaming system. But yeah, there was way more opportunity in the job market and costs of important purchases like cars and houses were way better priced for them than how we have it now. Few Gen Z'ers will probably own homes.,
@alejmc
@alejmc 20 күн бұрын
@@eliasadam2345 agreed with the “didn’t have it easy” part. Plus way closer multiple encounters with wars. However, we do still bunk in a sense… with roommates up until the late 40s for many, hyper crowded buses and subways or the all time favorite traffic jams. Definitely a more convenient life by all metrics overall: phone, internet, you name it… but paying handsomely nevertheless.

@eliasadam2345 20 күн бұрын
@@alejmc Yeah, the opportunities for the younger generations were not close to what Boomers got when they hit their 30s. Same comparison you made for the WW2 generation. My Grandfather nearly got depth charged to death 4 times in the Pacific. Also got called back for Korea, although he wasn't forced to go. But he bought a house at age 23 for next to nothing and was immediately able to start a family. But, the Gen X'ers and Millennials that serve in the military have been fighting proxy wars since their 20s. Only they weren't forced into service to do it like the older generations.

Our forefathers only had a buddy or two at the pub and they all moaned about the same thing. I guess they felt that they were just unlucky, not all marriages were like theirs. The www opened our eyes, we saw how our fathers were treated and that just got worse thought the 80's till today. We now see that it's just the lucky ones that find a good, level headed woman. Pity your brothers that hook up with the cyclically mad, over-emotional, bitches that destroy men's lives and families. At least now we have a broader perspective now upon which to see the beast for what she is.

Asked "how's your day been so far" and got a dismissive "not fast enough" I inquired how much longer she had and she was like irritated I asked. It was like an hour on a 6 hour shift or something. I'm 40 and was always taught to work hard and meet certain criteria of what "success" was supposed to be according to society. During my 20's I worked in a field that I was good at, but didn't enjoy. Raked in tons of money while working 90 hours a week. Having tons of money is nice, but what use is it when you got no time to spend it. After those hours you're too drained mentally, emotionally and intellectually to do anything in your free time. At 28 I had a burn-out and since then told society to F it. companies don't care about you, governments don't care about you, society doesn't care about you. So focus on yourself. For the past 10 years I've been working 20 hours a week and still make more than enough money to sustain my own hobbies, my bills, pay for all the things my daughter needs and actually have time to enjoy life instead of working myself to death for a bunch of freeloading parasites that don't care about you. They don't just "not care about you" those organizations and people actively go out of their way to spit in our faces. That's the truth, I willingly, WILLINGLY, worked like a dog for my wife to build a house and home for us and kept at it when the kids arrived because I WANTED to. It was a kind of self-sacrifice but motivated by the love I received back from my wife and children. The motivation was love, it wasn't the roles we played, that came from who was most capable in what was required. But I don't see much love coming from today's women. If there's no spark there's no flame. I don't blame modern men for simply looking after number 1. And when society corrodes and tumbles down - because men will only do only what little they need to do to survive - I hope I'm still here to see how (whatever is left of society) it can motivate men to generate the fruits of production which it has basically taken for granted. You have stuck two fingers up to men thinking everything will be fine, I think men will show you how badly that is going to play out.

Its pretty simple. Before feminism, men went to work because they believed in their role to provide for family. There was a good incentive for a man to assume the role of husband and father. When feminism entered the landscape, women have made themselves worthless and undesirable for marriage. Men dont desire the role of husband and father anymore, so they dont need to work as much. Its beautiful.

Not to mention a lot of men, yes, even those outside of the red pill circlejerks are very minimalistic. They just don't make it their entire personality, but a lot of us men, now yeah we like being resourceful don't get me wrong, but if we aquire anything be it a car, a video game or some clothes is because we wanted it, not because we want to impress others, though some can definitely overdo it and the hardcore rabbithole of radical minimalism and honestly more power to them, I noticed a lot of hardcore and radical minimalists are funny targeted hard by these self improvement gurus, a man who's either into simple living or minimalism is seen as this lameball who needs fixing.

Then I got a girly friend and the birthing control didn't show up to work, twice. So, I got a relatively well paying job at a Union Plant. Working 12 hour swing shifts on 1000 plus degree kilns/ovens with ceramic insulation. Nasty conditions. Significant overtime. She left, lost my kids, house, self respect. Was fired for "safety violations". I'm not happy or proud about it, but I can't see myself ever working hard again. 40 hours on a relatively easy 9-5 is about maxing out from here on out. i realized this around when puberty started , (became a rightist) . i think people do realize sooner but they deny it because everyone else says what their told to say and do, so they decide "im just wrong somehow" . too many people doing this plus lazy and low iq people who didnt realize worsening the norm. the laziness is from people not being required effort per rewarding feeling so, they settle on low quality entertainment . it becomes a habit to worry about what others feel about you to the point where the person is now working for big money mostly for the goal of "social status". culture is full of bikcthy people who have no firends they have quality social status with, friends that are trusting , collborative,long term.... they just pretend liek they care about blacklivesmatter etc . even the sports car market is mostly driven by people who dont enjoy driving much, theyll just acclerate quick in straight line here and there , they dont enjoy driving effciently or driving manual or intentionally loosing traction etc. . you dont need to deal with usual anti family laws: vocational science of freedom how your assets are stolen from birth on odysee instead of youtube or youtube and yandex instead of google etc, matrix (alternative to discor. western governers university, divine speech by nouman ali khan and sharif randhawa says: , morality for happinesss: --one must think his fundamental priorities from most important to least, should be: "prioritize at least basic wellbeing of especially genetically and culturally good people, second priority is existential exploration, then prioritize aesthetics. regularly practice focus on what you did especially the very emotional stuff, anger etc, to make sure your everything will be aligned with your fundamental priorities. get creative. notice: loyalty to rules that are generally likely to work best also create habits that keep one away from harming others for fun even if they realize they can get away with evil sometimes. in natural world order, being less harmful to others is less likely to bring you attacks from others, and its easier to convince people with what is rationally recognizable as good, as long as these other people are capable of realizing. in nature, sexual attraction and cooperation and feeling what the other is feeling, drives care for each other. hugging, feeling liked, etc gives feeling of safety even if irrational . simulate such if you can have such. --most enjoyment is in anticipating reward and memory of the experience so get enough sleep, etc, to remember. when you focus on how time is changing, youll feel the experience is lasting a longer time, thats why sometimes you feel like "oh so much time passed by already?" if you want to remember moments, do it this way. this also shows how that we are pushed to be builders, not animals to live passively . )))) -- people only have a limited amount of exciting or comforting forms of happiness you can ever possibly feel in a moment, at some point of trying to feel more, you wont feel anymore for a while. for example: too much novelty for a while is no longer gonna feel so novel, so decrease novelty. but if youve been bored for a while, youll be re-sensitized to that kind of enjoyment etc. ((((((for example: you should think "I’m putting the effort because I will probably get it, but I’m ready for if it doesn’t work", as stuff like anxiety, depression, anger, etcetera, is apparently designed to make one think of "why am I feeling this way" to motivate improvement. so be aware so you do not get in habit of allowing emotions overwhelm you from logical thinking. so people not liking you doesn't matter as long as your safe in reality. you can enjoy feeling of gained saftey, (comfyness), with other things, even if its a small friend group or even romance simulation. create discomfort then become comforted , like with physical exercise or being cold enough.))))) (((--this practice of resisting from desires , putting high effort, before getting so much reward, will become a subconscious habit where your mind feels reward within every bit of progress made , to make you capable of higher effort, to realize beauty, accomplish stuff,etc. --most enjoyment is in anticipating reward and memory of the experience so get enough sleep, etc, to remember. when you focus on how time is changing, youll feel the experience is lasting a longer time, thats why sometimes you feel like "oh so much time passed by already?", and we tend to be happier because were not feeling bad about bad times , were focused on progressing. if you want to remember moments, do it this way. this also shows how that we are pushed to be builders, not animals to live passively . )))) -- people only have a limited amount of exciting or comforting forms of happiness you can ever possibly feel in a moment, at some point of trying to feel more, you wont feel anymore for a while. for example: too much novelty for a while is no longer gonna feel so novel, so decrease novelty. but if youve been bored for a while, youll be re-sensitized to that kind of enjoyment etc. -- . you can think of your rrelationship with the creator of everything as a mystery game: you have to figure out what to do, so you do what seems rational based on what you were apparently made to do, which is to be happy. .these show that, genes that spread are the ones that help spreading, designing humans to max reproduction, humans were made to be rather morally close to muhammadean islam, a useful culture. although genuine islam is something your population can probably only be 95 percent loyal to, unless you create true belief in its narrative of life after death, because it further increases the level of sacrifice what sometimes is surely to benefit oneself, for wellbeing of each other by mutual support. ways to truly believe in heaven and hell like of islam, probably was the reason for the strong will that created the supposed islamic golden age , ottoman empire, etc, and what is left of such things up to today. such is lost in most even self proclaimed muslims, and the fact that those like the federal reserve live by lucifarianistic world order like that of the anti goyim talmud, instead of using stuff islam to create ideal world order, should be interesting .

The masses saw that it was no longer possible to get a job at a company, stick around, and get a decent pension. Loyality was rewarded. Now it just means the business avoids raising your pay. The execs removed the old incentives and expected people to work the same way. Nobody wants to work... Most people want to work, not just for a meaningless job they can't trust for no reward or for a loss. Many jobs now cost more than they pay, are completely unreliable, are not rewarding (or harm the worker in some way), and the stated job qualification requirements are way beyond reason or beyond that needed for the job's actual duties. The situation has become so bad that it's actually more profitable (or less of a loss) to NOT work.

So the higher unemployment, the more people disappear. On top of this, as Aaron explains, the reasons for marriage disappears too. No marriage gives less incentive to work too much. Same thing is rapidly happening to marriage. After divorce an increasingly larger percentage of men will never marry again (for life, they're done), and this trend increases the number of men who will never marry at all (as marriage is actually a pre-divorce). As they never marry, they also often don't form families. As single free men don't need very much to live happily they and don't need to work much either. These single men by happy example encourage other men to never marry and they then also live happily and minimally. This will also depress the labor rate, and do so increasingly over time. Add to that psychopathic, meat-grinding, completely faithless and untrustable very-hostile-to-men companies to make employment even more untenable.

Get rid of child support and they'll be a lot more careful about who they spread their legs for. Also, a lot of these moms are single because they chose to end the relationship (usually over trivial nonsense) and push the father out of the picture. Either way they get little sympathy from me.

Furthering the issue is how egalitarian many workplaces have become. In many departments the top 5% workers barely make more than the bottom 5%. When you consider the effort and self sacrifice it takes to be the top 5% it's usually not worth the few percentage points higher wage than the person that you have to help with their work.
@BarfingGerbil
@BarfingGerbil 20 күн бұрын
In "egalitarian" workplaces, the bottom 5% have a much higher ROI than the top 5%. The bottom %5 make more money per unit of effort than the top 5%, meaning they can invest their remaining time and energies elsewhere. If you're in an egalitarian or "socialist"/""marxist"-like shop, go for the bottom, the least responsibility and effort, the highest ROI. (In a pass-fail world, a D- is the same as the A+, but the D- is much cheaper and more profitable.)

Heading to cost of living, no wonder so many men will forgo working entirely or they will just focus on part-time living a simplistic lifestyle. Recently I moved back to a conservative area, and there's motivation to work. The reason being is I don't spend two to three paychecks just to pay rent. It's easy to do in one paycheck. That gives you three paychecks a month, to do what you need to. It's not as exciting to most people but I like the fact that I don't have to spend all my money on surviving. That's enough motivational alone.

My first job in high school was at Burger King. I was a cashier evenings and weekends. Over the summer I pulled in OT. Within one year I got approved for a home loan. I got a little condo 2/2/2. Bay view, kinda rough area but close to downtown. I couldn't afford the quarter for the metromover so I hopped the turnstile every day. I sold that place in 2017 for $775. No renos-- developers wanted to tear it down. I remember listening as an adult to Ross Perot try to warn the American people about NAFTA. It was sending American jobs overseas in a race to the bottom for world wages. No one cared. The media (which was male-dominated, by the way) chose to make fun of his height, ears and Texan accent. They preferred either one of the two corporate war machines that were up for election that year. I showed up to protests and I was either physically attacked or ridiculed by American men. The police were safer at those protests than the Boomer generation of men who called us dirty hippies. Men want to work but the jobs are no longer here. And wherever they are, they are paying poverty wages now to someone in a poor country. Women do not experience this sense of angst because they started at the bottom so their trajectory feels upward. But men started at the top so naturally there was nowhere to go but down. A kid working a BK in the early '80s could expect to become solidly middle class. Women didn't do this. It was men who had the power. And it is true that men are now the main victims of the results.

@skylinefever exactly right. I worked for a company in which a department head was presented with a plan that would computerise (early '90s) our filing systems. It would have saved a ton of paper, time, and most importantly it would have cut down on errors. He told me privately that he only got a quarterly bonus based on maintenance or cutting of department costs, and that there was no way he would hurt his own short term gains for the long-term benefits of a company that he planned to leave within a year or so for his career benefit. Corporations killed the company man. I wonder how many delayed advancements we have now in tech, or at least in the adoption of existing tech, because some exec sees the benefit but doesn't want to explain short term increases in department costs.

I think a lot of men retired early. No wife, no kids; just blissfully alone and okay with that. You can't NOT work in Capitalism. Everyone has to work. But you can retire early. I added up the number: over 19 years I've spent/lost 1.1 - 1.8 million dollars. On what? On what! I think a lot of smarter men just saved their money and noped out. I wish I had. Instead, I've got another 20-25 years to go.

It would’ve been so funny to see an interaction between her and Sean Connery. He would’ve destroyed her feminist beliefs with 1 conversation and he would’ve walked out with an ironed shirt and hot meal 😂

Decades of wage suppression mean that wages for the average American are about one fifth what they would have been had wage increases continued to keep pace with productivity growth as they did up until 1980. The average US wage today should be $200,000 per year instead it is only $40,000 per year.

I was running some ratio numbers a while back and came up with similar numbers. The pay per unit of productivity is about 1/5th of what it was for the average worker, at the same time, their money buys about 1/8th of what it did around 1970. The salaries should be around 200K on productivity alone (which would be equivalent to $25,000 in 1970, but the median salary was just under $10,000 in 1970). Adjusting for ONLY inflation (productivity held constant) $10,000 in 1970 would be $80,000 now (with no change in productivity). For a 5/1 increase in productivity, the dollar value per unit of productivity, adjusted for inflation would $80K times 5, or $400,000 (for 2024). In 2024 the median salary is around $60,000. (The $40,000 median salary was in 2020!!!, it rose for inflation from $40K to $60K in only four years (2020 to 2024)!!! That deserves some exclamation points!) But you're absolutely right when the math settles down - the wages are being deeply suppressed by 3 to 5 times or so.

Why would any man go above and beyond for a society that is apathetic towards them at best, and openly hostile towards them at worst?

I’m 45 and reached a point where I could retire now and live a quiet, middle class life, or reach for more. The thing people don’t tell you about this is there is no end to it. To earn the money you gotta act the part. Send my kids to boarding school $$$. Maid $$$. Nanny $$$. Driver $$$. Bigger house I host social events at $$$. Etc. Etc. I have rich friends and I can tell you the gap between where I’m at and where the rat race well and truly ends is vast. I cashed out and moved my family far away from the clown like insanity of DC (where we were), paid everything off and we’re good. I’m gonna write a book no one will read. Maybe mod Skyrim. Build a forge in my back yard. Who knows. I know that my case is happy one, and not what this post is about. But that’s why I quit working. We’re all just bricks on that wall. Why put more work into than you have to? Money or not, I imagine that’s how a lot of men feel right now. Because that wall is ugly…I don’t want to help build it any longer. P.S. They school here isn’t woke and all my kids have improved academically by leaps and bounds, just in a single year, as a result.

I bet Aaron has never been long-term unemployed or even tried to qualify for welfare and clearly relies on media-driven stereotypes. As a general rule, men don't get welfare as the system makes it difficult enough for single women to qualify (hence the single moms). EBT is a nonfactor when it comes to male employment participation. A lot of men like myself have embraced System D.

He hasn’t. He had it tough for a couple of those years as a full-time working college student, working security, it sounds like. But then things started to really coast for him. He never got the 2008 FU like so many of us did, or anything like that. He simply hasn’t struggled, but yells at us on how we should manage our struggles.
