sobriety is the best thing I've ever done for myself. It was tough to do in the very beginning, but the benefits have been 100% worth the initial struggle. My instincts have never been more fine tuned, I have clarity, freedom, and incredible balance in my life. My lows aren't as low, my highs aren't as high. I can handle anything. I stopped drinking 6 months before the pandemic, and was able to ride it out in a calm head space. Sobriety is an incredible gift you can give yourself!

A woman’s power is in choice over what goes in her body. Choosing not to ingest a known toxic substance is the ultimate exercise of freedom and power. Choose your own path, your own well-being, respect for your temple, your body, your mind, your spirit, your essence as a woman.

I don't drink and I don't smoke either. For me drinking and smoking is a waste of money. The average price for a pack of cigarettes in my country ( Greece )is €5. If you smoke a pack a day ( some people smoke 2 packs )it's 5×30 = €150 ( or 300€)a month plus if you go out every weekend and spend €20 on drinks (say 2 drinks on Saturday and 2 on Sunday with an average price of €5) €20×4 = €80. 150€( 300€)+80€= 230€ ..... 230€ per month ( or 380€)😳...only for alcohol and cigarettes. It's from €2,760 to 4.560 every year( all this for alcohol and smoking ...I also used an example of drinking twice a week but there are people who drink daily)😳😳😳 its ridiculous .I keep the money and do something else I exercise, i travel, i have hobbies , I go to beauty treatments every month I learn foreign languages and I also save for emergencies.

With all the promotion of mommy wine culture and red wine being good for the heart, women need to know the dangers of alcohol that doctors and the media is not telling us. Other than getting a buzz, I don't think most men ever really thought alcohol carried any health benefits. We understand the havoc it brings on our body. However, it's promoted different to women and they're taking it in.

At about 1:45 you said women weren’t allowed in taverns with men… that’s not true at all. Where did you hear that?

Prostitutes were the only women allowed prior to 1900s/ late 1800s

This is true. Perhaps not now in our present-day society, but this was the reality of many cultures previously.

@@skypiev4438 In the UK up until 1982 pubs could and would refuse to serve women based on their gender alone. In Australia up until 1970 women were not allowed to enter a bar and could be kicked out due to intoxication even if they were not drinking alcohol. In the US lone female drinkers were presumed to be prostitutes and many cities passed blue laws banning unescorted women from drinking establishments. In Mexico up until the 1980’s bars wouldn’t allow women nor dogs inside. I remember visiting Mazatlan in Sinaloa just two years ago and seeing a bar inscribed with gentleman only on the exterior, a paint job from several decades prior. As recently as 2016 bars in Paris, France, have stated men only. Need I go on? Every day is a school day Sky Pie V 🙂
