00:00 - teaser 02:07 - intro 02:42 - “what would our version of ‘kid tested; mother approved’ be?” 06:10 - two Bentleys, hoarding vs collecting, and do you pick the front, middle, or back of the train car? 16:41 - the cost of painting a car and satin/matte paint holding up better than expected 22:26 - the price of the new Continental GT Hybrid 26:30 - hitting 20k mi in the NSX and interesting interior fabrics 32:43 - David Twohig writing in to explain the wheel blocking the gauges and the design that goes into it 37:14 - Christian saying that the new Continental’s audio system sounds British and Zack’s time at the FCP Euro meet 41:55 - Hanna finding the worst cars on FB marketplace and a lucky break on the replacement part for the Delica Patreon questions: 49:03 - I have a lovely 2022 F8 and have an allocation for a 296 GTS in which I would trade the F8; I love my car but is the 296 more loveable? 50:40 - considering a V6 manual Emira but C8 Z06 prices have started to come into the same territory for a used one; I’ve previously had a Stingray but sold it because it didn’t feel exciting; I don’t go to the track, canyons only, not a daily, which would you choose? 52:49 - looking for a budget off-roader that is also small; should I be looking at kei trucks, vans, or other small vehicles like the Pajero? 54:44 - I own a Revology, can you think of other car models that could be cool to give new life by making them easy and enjoyable to own? 58:49 - outside of Porsches, can you think of a pre-smog car that you would be willing to use as a daily? 1:01:26 - what’s a good starter motorcycle for a heavier guy? 1:03:14 - trying to revitalize an old youtube channel; besides uploading regularly how would you go about it if you had to start again? 1:04:19 - (wants to know the name of the lemon law lawyer mentioned last time) 1:04:55 - could manufacturers restomod or sell new engines/transmissions components for pre-existing vehicles; could that be a good way to keep the same cars on the road, reducing manufacturing costs and letting ICEs to still be sold? 1:06:23 - what is the advantage for centerlock nuts vs tradition lug nuts? 1:07:28 - when talking about the use of cars, I find the mentions of valet parking to be fascinating as it’s not really a thing here in Melbourne; is it a cultural thing? 1:09:32 - recently took over my father’s 997 Turbo Cab and love it, but I can’t help but think it’s too fast to enjoy; would I get the same driving enjoyment from a 993 non-Turbo? 1:10:49 - bought a great 981 Boxster 2.5 years ago; thinking of adding second car to tackle light off-roading and get to fun places around AZ that the Boxster can’t; is an early 2000s Tacoma a good idea? I don’t need a truck bed 1:12:28 - can an engine with a lot of personality make up for a flawed transmission/suspension/etc.? Would you rather have a [car] with an interesting engine or good everything else with a lackluster engine? 1:13:48 - you guys have said that your personal cars tend to be older classics because you have access to press cars as journalists; in another life where you are not journalists what would your personal car collection look like? 1:15:08 - what’s a car everyone else seems to love but you can’t get on board with and why? 1:16:54 - which would be a more interesting daily: Magnus’ high milage turbo or the green one just sold by WCCS? 1:17:36 - I’ve noticed that Mercedes S-class coupes have depreciated into the $30-40k range; is this a steal or a no-go due to maintenance costs? 1:19:03 - can you make a V8 first gen RS5 handle well? 1:21:20 - outro

1:06:00 Mercedes Benz has always made parts for older models. You can buy 300SL parts, they are expensive though
@Bob_Smith19Ай бұрын
This is one area they excel in. Offering parts for older models is great and keeps cars on the road longer. The increased costs make sense as they are small production runs.

I’m watching this one first in case it disappears later today.

As Canadian I am not sure what is canadian about them want you to call when booking the train trip, not something that is normal when booking something.

The installation of a replacement engine is very expensive and most people can't pay it on top of the engine cost.

Miata NC1 is the "everything else is perfect except the engine" compared to its contemporary Pontiac Solstice GXP/Sky Redline 2.0 ecotec turbo: "great engine, everything else sucks" Mx-5 Is Always The Answer
@vvevvevvvvАй бұрын
I would argue that ND1 has better engine than the ND2. With some headers and tune you get the same power as ND2 motor. Also, ND1 motor has beefier internals which suits better for boosting.
@OdyTypeRАй бұрын
@vvevvevvvv Oh, the NDs (and the NC2) have great engines, that's why they don't work as well for this hypothetical... I was only trying to imply that the "worst" (airquotes intended) Miata is better than the "best" imitation.

I would never get a car with matte paint. Your only option to fix a chip or a scratch is to repaint the whole panel. There is no polishing, buffing, touching it up or blending a small section.
@XavierGoncalves89Ай бұрын
can you get “matte” ppf for matte paint?
@flech3025Ай бұрын
@@XavierGoncalves89 You can get matte PPF that turns your normal paint matte. Tyler Hoover of Hoovies garage got it put on one of his Ferraris. Not sure how long it lasts but it means you dont have to deal with the unrepairable matte paint.
