I just like the addicting fast paced gameplay (of adventure, classic and boost formulas), the music in most of the games, the character designs and the fact that some games do actually have stories with cutscenes. And I also like the variety in media and game genres the series offers.

I don't think Sonic does have a loyal fanbase. It's just people don't usually announce they are leaving a fanbase, so often times the mass exoduses go unnoticed. There were fans who left during the Adventure era, because they were unhappy with the Adventure games. There was another mass exodus of fans during the Sonic Boom era, because people grew tired of the meta comedy. And a lot of people dropped out from the comics during Ian Flynn's run, again during the reboot, and again during the Zombot Virus story arc, and now the Sonic comic has pretty bad sales. So there have definitely been points where large groups of fans noped out of the series. Sega has said they will focus on other franchises, so either the Ken Penders lawsuit really got to them, or they realized the Sonic fandom is shrinking.

@@sonicmaiden2871 People always give the Simpsons or Spongebob as examples of media that outlives it's fanbase. Sonic could definitely keep going on if it keeps finding new fans. But, it's much easier to keep the old fandom than it is to get new fans. If Sonic keeps going this direction Ian Flynn and the other Western writers are trying to take it, I think Sonic will end up like Disney and Warner Bros. It was foolish for Sega to move to Western writers, when Anime and Manga are more popular in the West. I would like for Japan to retake control of the franchise, I don't think America has the talent pool needed for good writers, anymore. Maybe we can try again after Hollywood has (or hasn't) made it through this current box office crisis we are stuck in, and we can get some fresh talent from outside the industry.

@@SonicXisCanon I'd like Japanese writers to write Sonic stories as well since the 2010 stories in the games weren't very good in my opinion. Dark era stories were much better and ambitious in my opinion and they were written by Japanese writers.

One thing I got to point out is that i do disagree is that shadow 05 has a good story and good writing looking at the Japanese version which is the cannon version. The theme is identy since his memory loss and question who he is. Sonic and friends say he is the hero and the gun commander thinks he is a monster and eggman just thinks he is just some experiment, and it's dosen't help that shadow think he is a android. That's why the diffrent paths exist to show what shaddow could have been what he could have been a hero or a villian. but at the end he chooses his own path and that's why "I am all of me" plays and bit of "live and learn" it's a send off to shadow and after the final battle he decides to leave his path to not care about it anymore. and go into a new direction in life, which also explains why he joins G.U.N in 06

Hate to say it but with Archie out of the window, Mario factually has more depth because there is objectively more lore and backstory for a lot of things. The princess being captured in Mario is a reflection on the series being a modern day fairy tale, and Sonic vs Eggman (whether or not it’s what ohshima wanted) is basically a nature vs machine Captain Planet story. Both series have core tropes that the world building is based around. And the multiverse in sonic doesn’t mean anything if there isn’t as much depth as Archie had and IdW is proving that going back to a big lore filled world that made Sonic so interesting pre forces isn’t the end goal or even allowed by Sega. Like… I’m sorry to say but one RPG for Mario can typically bring more lore into its series than the entirety of IDW and I feel like that’s a problem for sonic to be lacking when Mario is literally known for it’s main characters being static and at this point are getting more development than sonic ones post 06. I can keep going but the point is it’s annoying when sonic WAS the one getting as much of not more lore than Mario at one point but that’s not the case anymore and it’s a real possibility that Sonic will be left behind very far in that regard. Sonic Unleashed critic response is what made the characters fully static when they used to not be between SA1-06 which is why fans try so hard to fill in the gaps for why things are the way they are in the series

No way the phone version is more stable than the PS4 version. Sonic fans are consumerists, nothing SEGA does will make them realise Sonic hasn't been relevant outside of being laughed at since the early 2010s, maybe earlier. Shadow is a good game.

so what makes me a really fan of sonic are he's mature , serious and deep action side (especially the dark ages) with his various caracters for all the styles with a very deep or nice characterisations without forgeting that sonic was made and are better when he was targeting a mature public with the black knight game or the idw commic and the scenario of the adventurs , and 06 (if we forget this famous scene with the princess) and more (and the animated gameplays like on forces or sxsg wish it makes the games like a real actions movie) and when i was a child i discovered sonic by chance with the mobile and flash games and of curse as a kid i was pretty easy to amaze wish it amkes me and kept me weakly a fan of sonic easily by chace and with the time by discovering what is sonic more and more by checking more unknown games by chance cause of their lack of popularity i was starting to knowing what's are really sonic and starting to like the franchise more and more by growing too , since the 2010 years cames out and sonic team starts to target a 3 years old public with the horrible movie and the respectless netflix series (wish they are made to represent and makes the netflix and cinema public discover all the legendary franchise on this gruce kidy cringey image!) , but its hade some thing , a miracle who changes this scandalous turn and it’s frontiers wish its marke a starts of a new ages a better ages and mature witsh he will makes sonic being it self like he never was before in a mature new age this time without forgeting that's i discovered the idw commic on the same time wish it makes me know that’s sonic have just started , and sonic x shadow generations will be the beginning of the beginning... really and what sonic team needs right now too are an real animated movie who's dont touche the lore this time like idw respect the lore and franchise and loved it like he is , and the movie and netflix didnt , cause sonic are great like he is and he’s action , deep , serious and mature and he’s very characteristic side will make he’s franchise a perfect spot to make an animated movie who could wins oscars and (nearly) all fans will like it and he will makes a new real f..ans and gives the best representation or discovery of the franchise , perhaps an movie based about or follows the idw commic... this turn to a new age and this butyfull franchise was all thanks to the ambitiously and non stoping runing and the keep learning from the falls , sonic team wish she ill try to always find another way across the frontieres contrary to the rats wish they are nintendo

@@samirrabdelah5178 you can even say the same thing for spectacular Spider-Man avatar The last Airbender or even Scooby-Doo mystery Incorporated the dcau cartoons or the Kung Fu Panda movies or TMNT of 2003 and 2012 and the reason why those cartoons are good or because they were allow to talk about mature topics in a digestible sense that kids can understand and it's good for adults as well because when we watch those cartoons as kids we would definitely come back to watch them again then a bunch of episodic cartoons that goes nowhere and I do like cartoons that have stories in them or a beginning to end plot those are the type of cartoons I like more because to be honest cartoons are not just for kids because after all cartoons and anime are just another form of art because watching cartoons or anime allows us to escape the everyday things of the real world because every once in awhile we do have that escapism in our mind and watching cartoons and anime does help with that then watching a live action movie or watching a true story movie
