Yesterday me and my wife were driving to buy her a motorcycle helmet because she if finally starting fee safe and ride as passenger with me, and on the way to get the helmet a group of young adults were on sports bikes doing all kinds of stupid tricks and it was making everyone on the highway nervous. There was this guy burning out his back tire, doing skids, and wheelies. They were also weaving in out out of traffic like in the matrix. I would not be surprised if one of them die within a year!!! I really feel bad for their loved ones!!!

lol This is what I'm talking about, why sportbikes get no respect because of fools like that. Whenever I used to speed I always did it on desolate backroads where I was not a nuisance to the public. That is why so many riders get killed is because of speed and why people call sportbikes donor cycles. I bought a MT07 to slow down and chill ride on the street.

You must not have ever ridden a sport bike. All bikes are uncomfortable after 20 min of riding if you’re not conditioned to ride them. I’ve owned damn near every type of motorcycle out there over the years and I’ve had to get used to every one of them

Im 6ft 3 and I ride an 07 zx6r. Took it on a 250 mile ride today no discomfort. Took 2 breaks to take in scenery. I've done a couple 1-2hr long rides on it before aswell with no issues. Just need strong core and strong lower back and ull be fine

Most people are drawn to supersports/superbikes because of their looks but in reality they are not very comfortable to ride in the city and are not tuned for bottom end grunt like the naked bikes are. However, some these new naked bikes are nearly just as powerful, too much power like the Ducati Streetfighter V4. Realy, you don;t need anything bigger than a 400cc to 700cc for city riding.

Thanks for viewing! Yeah that it what I realized when I owned superbikes, that most of the. riding I was ding was using less than 20% of its full power. I find it more fun to rip on smaller torquey bikes, and it keeps you from doing felony speeding that can cause you to get your license suspended and put in jail. I was about 2 mph away from getting put in jail on that Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory I used to own. That is when I woke up and realized I don't need to be riding superbikes on the street. lol

It will always be a battle. harleys vs sportbikes. groms vs sportbikes. dirt bikes vs supermotos. it will always be an never ending issue BUT if you ride and you see another rider down no matter what kind of bike, the real ones will pull over and give assistance. Different bikes but ONE LOVE

IMO Harley Davidsons will be my most hated bikes. Just for the riders saying those 4 infamous words "Get a real bike" Then I just hate cruisers being loud and slow. I will forever love sportbikes, even if my back doesn't love em anymore. Sportbikes just generally bring the inner hooligan outta all of us. Yet I find myself doing more wheelies and speeding more on my MT09 SP than I ever did on my old R6 or Daytona 675R.

With my long inseam of 34 inches combined with a bad knee meant that I was no longer able to ride naked bikes (let alone supersports) for more than one hour. That's why I bought an adv bike and a supermoto. Now I no longer have knee pain

Sport bikes were always my favorite. They look the coolest and offer the best overall performance (in terms of weight, handling, power). I wouldn't be too interested in modern track/race bikes though, due to the forward seating position and my age (approaching 50). Back in the 90's, the Honda CBR bikes didn't have such extreme forward seating position.. that's something they evolved into in the 00's.

Yeah CBR's were the more comfortable supersport/superbike back in the day. Even my former 2012 cbr1000rr was pretty comfortable compared to some of the other sportbikes. Since more naked sportbikes have come on the market it really doesn't make sense to get a track bike for street riding these days tho. However, the track bikes do look the coolest.

I bought an FZ-07 because I thought I might not get in as much trouble as I would with a more Powerful bike.. I think I could get an aftermarket fairing later.. .. I have since added side cases top case tank bag and windscreen to it .. Plus Ohlin Fork Cartridges.. still stock exhaust I like it quiet and I don't like the Police to notice me.

Sport bike riders get hated because of Stunters .... Going around on one wheel jumping around traffic and taking too many chances... I've rode my Hayabusa for a while and have never had an issue because of my speed...

Harleys are so expensive. They are good looking bikes and sound great but I could never justify the cost. Naked bikes are so much better to and so much cheaper. @@CycleCruzaI figured out.. it's all just about the name "I have a harley dude" and think they're somehow more man than a different rider when tbh, riding a motorcycle to begin with is nuts, there's nothing to protect you, no one looks out for you on the road, you're more likely to die in a crash, we respect speed and the road alot more than other motorists, so in my opinion just riding is pretty ballsy. I know I've had my close calls but still hop on. And generally harleys are associated with patch members and outlaws. The stigma I think is what people want from it, to feel bad with out actually being bad. Just my thoughts on it.

i think if you want a sports bike on the street get a sport touring then they (the non riders) will look at it different you will get more respect from other type of bike riders and non riders,and last time i was on track training there was a guy on a big sport touring ripping it

Just yesterday a sport bike rider was wheeling and clowning all oer the place dragging his feet and jumping up on his seat then lane splitting at the lights in my town where you dont see that very often then soneone in a minivan with his family honked and he flipped them off and the driver flipped off back and the biker was doing wheelies and standing on his seat and stuff after he took off. While it doesnt bother me I just laugh and say a prayer for them...but do that at your own risk it pisses off many drivers who are just trying to obey the laws. It makes it hard for the rest of us riders who just want to cruise and taken it easy. People tailgate us and cut us off all the time. People are basically jerks towards bikers but a few ruin it for all. Sorry its true.

Sport bikes just fall into a stereotype. Just like Harleys have their stereotype. Prius' do too lol. Just like all stereotypes though, not everyone actually is in that stereotype. So many people give me a look when I say I have a Ninja 1000. Then I say it's a sport touring and they suddenly change their demeanor. Yet I can do everything a super sport can lol - I just am not hunched over all the time. So I don't pay any attention to stereotypes, let people think what they want, because if you don't - that's a hinderance on the freedom you want from a motorcycle.

Naked bikes are getting so powerful now that they may suffer the same fate as sport bikes. I think I could have just as much fun on a Ninja 400 on my country roads as I do on my MT07. This is the very reason that I didn't want an MT09.

I was close to buying a new Ducati Streetfighter V4S but then I got some sense and got a MT-07 instead. lol There is no good reason to get a 200+ hp motorcycle for street riding. Really, a 400 is all you need for urban riding. I just have to have some torque, reason I love my yz450fx supermoto and now MT07. Bottom end grunt goodness! I owned a MT-09, sold it quick, I actually like the MT07 better.

@@CycleCruza I really enjoy my MT07 and love riding on my country roads. I'm lucky that I have so many great curvy roads which would be perfect for a Ninja 400. The MTO7 is great for longer rides though. I just bought a 2022 Heritage Classic and I'll use it more for the long rides now.

I’m the guy people “hate” …are we actually pretending that people see motorcycles now??? 😂…different thrills for different riders…im very aware of the risk and truth is MOST motorcycle crashes are from people pulling out in front of bikes (yes even doing the speed limit). I’m an insurance appraiser and 95% of the wrecks I look at are cruisers getting smashed by cars who aren’t paying attention…yes the sport bike wrecks are usually fatal but you are far more likely to get hit by a car or truck riding a cruiser with life changing injuries

Crazy speed should be done only on track or with extreme caution, owning sportbike you have to be responsible and stop doing stupid things, unfortunately ppl doing crazy stuff with sportbike bring bad reputation to the biking community and i can blame ppl if they judge us because of some stupid reckless bikers doing crazy stuff on the street!! The only issue I ever had with Harley’s are that they’re slow, heavy and leak oil from the primary drive covers …but if you ask any Harley rider it’s totally normal 😂🤷🏼‍♂️

Most things people/things people hate are with people/things they do not know or are different. The rest are just haters. Harley/cruiser guys say they do not like sport bikes. YET will spend 10s or thousands to make their H-D/cruiser have the performance of a sport bike. Or worse, buy a cruiser/touring bike and spend thousand converting it into a "cafe racer"/flat tracker/scrambler.....which are sport bikes...... I am not talking about the people who just do not PREFER sport bikes. But those types of people do not HATE sport bikes..... Frankly, any bike I ride is a "sport" bike. so...............
