Can not the cars skin be an antenna as well or in place of?

For some antennas, the car's skin acts as the counterpoise or "other half" of a dipole antenna. For others, the body can be equated to a "ground," though a car is not truly grounded. I'm not sure if that makes sense. Thanks for visiting!
