What if Steven Spielberg directed a new Jurassic Park film? The world a movie sequels is full of stuff that often tries to emulate what came before, but I think this dinosaur brand would be a fun challenge for Steven to actually tackle again. He hasn’t directed one of these since 1997 and I’d love to see him do another one filled with Raptors and T.rexes!

I feel like Steven was really the only director that the franchise has had that actually 'got' Jurassic Park. It probably helped that he knew Crichton personally. I doubt he will make a return to Jurassic, but I would love to see him do so.

I've definitely thought about this a lot. It helps to break down Spielberg's cinematic style. Something about the filmography and special effects of the first two Jurassic films made the world feel very real. I couldn't have said it better myself when you said it can be hard to articulate these feelings, but Spielberg has a very particular visual style that feels very grounded in reality. Watching the first two Jurassic movies feels like watching the events unfold in real life. Something else Spielberg does incredibly well is characterization. His characters talk and act very realistically. They stutter, make subtle jokes, and talk over each other. Compare this to the Jurassic World movies where Chris Pratt's character is slipping out superhero one-liners and making out with his costar in the middle of a deadly pterosaur massacre. The Jurassic World movies are very fluffy with superhero action, whereas Spielberg's characters and situations were very realistic. I think that is a big part of what made the first two Jurassic films so memorable. They were gritty and real.

Well, the idea of Spielberg's return to Jurassic series is beautiful, and deep down, I'd love to see this happen. But after numerous cases of failed returns, like Shane Black's return to Predator in 2018, or even Ridley Scott's last Alien movies, I have big doubts.

Awww Poor Tim! idk about you, i've always imagined being in his shoes. Primarily, to overcome my fear of the kitchen scene by watching it as many times possible. Ask me, Joseph was bravest kid alive to me being a movie like JP. But, secondly...as Tim. Tim Murphy. Human piece of toast. And T Rexy's pinata. Quite literally, the "target" audience in the entire "flee" circus! (just to quote their grandfather) Same person, even after KNOWING the 2 deadliest species to walk the earth(again) were prowling down on him & Lex, still wasn't enough incentive to utilize lethal force on an escaped the raptor? The same raptor that instigated the entire visitation on the island? An island that despite being hit by a hurricane & were told "all the dinosaurs were girls." You come to find out, your own sister is WAY more qualified to successfully operate the Jurassic Park than Hammond is! I'm glad uMentioned "enemies" No wonder, we NEVER see them look or speak to him ever again.

I've heard he considers to make his lost prequel of Jaws recently, I think that's the reason he doesn't let Universal to reboot Jaws franchise (even Robert Shaw grandson said he loves to act as younger version of Quint if Spielberg is really about to make it) and it's not far from happening only if we try to Universal hears our sound about another Spielberg JP movie.

The thing about Spielberg is that, where many directors have their own directorial style, it's hard to put a finger on what makes Spielberg's films so great. It's clear the man has ingrained into his soul the cinematic techniques from all the films he's repeatedly watched as a movie lover and he probably couldn't tell you how he does what he does. He has a vision, then he films it as he saw it in his mind. Then, the success of his films gives him free reign to do the projects he wants to do.

Not to throw shade at you, but this is pretty ignorant of Spielberg's style. You can easily point to what makes his films great formally speaking. His patented "invisible oners," his fluid camera movements, the way his compositions direct mood, tone, terror, wonder, etc. Spielberg indeed has a style. It's just less rigid than other aesthetically recognizable filmmakers.

Even though I’d love to see him comeback I think we just need to first plan out what the future of the franchise should go for and what direction they want to go with and stick with, but honestly Id love to see directors like Neill Blomkamp known for directing district 9, Elysium, & Chappie to come work on a Jurassic world film, I’d also like to see Lee Cronin take a spin at the Jurassic World franchise he’s known for directed Evil Dead: Rise which in my opinion is a great horror film and love to see Lee Cronin do a horror themed film in the Jurassic universe, I’d also like to see other directors like James DeMonaco known for directed The Purge 1 to 3 direct a Jurassic world spin-off, John Krasinski known for directing A Quiet Place part 1 & 2 to direct a Jurassic Universe spin-off, Bryce Dallas Howard as well directing another Jurassic spin-off, I’d think the best way to do these is just have them all do spin-off, a anthology series that would lead up to a Jurassic World 4 or another title like Jurassic Planet or Jurassic Kingdom, or Jurassic Universe anything, I just think we need to get out of the theme and feeling of fantastic animals in our world living and breathing and in peace for a more horror route or play with different themes, remember these dinosaurs aren’t the real thing, they are technically Genetically Engineered theme park monsters.

I think it would be great to see and might even be a nice send-off for Steven as I think he's probably getting close to being done with filmmaking and just wants to enjoy the rest of his life. I could be wrong on that. Maybe he plans on filmmaking for the rest of his ife, but if the latter turns out to be more accurate, him going out with one last Jurassic Park movie made by him would be the way I'd love to see him end his career on if he chose something like that.

The older you get; you start realizing you have less time in your life for other things you wanna do. Yeah... pretty obvious, but ever since becoming an adult... I suspect we, the consumers, will be able to make our own movies with A.I. eventually. So anyone can make their own Jurassic Park movie. The old production houses can still make money providing puzzle pieces for wherever the consumer wants a movie to go. So if you want a child friendly Jurassic Park movie: you can. If you want an R-rated Jurassic movie: you can. You want a prequel or a sequel? You can. The consumer puts in as many or as few outlines as wished for, micro-managed as far as you wish, pay the fee and some time later the movie you wanted lands in your inbox. You could still watch it in theatres where instead of big rooms there could be dozens of tiny family sized rooms with all the equipment you need.

I feel that if Steven Spielberg were to return this is what should happen, Jurassic world Dominion should be decanonized and labeled as an alternative ending in a multiverse or whatever you know, and instead the move that should replace it will focus on capturing all the escaped dinosaurs in the first act by taking them back to Nublar or even sorna and in the second act something goes very wrong and our main characters are stuck on either Isla sorna or Nublar having to survive new threats while trying to call for rescue, I think with Steven Spielberg directing this it would make an awesome movie 🍿🎥😁👍

The reason I feel that Jurassic world Dominion should be decanonized is because all the dinosaurs are loose all across the world and spread very quickly which should not have been the case, the dinosaurs are also being smuggled in black markets and at this point they are no longer exclusive to the islands like Nublar and Sorna which takes away how special the dinosaurs were before. The dinosaurs should always stay on the islands, maybe escaping once or twice due to human activity but the movies should mostly always take place on the islands of Nublar and Sorna or even one of the other islands that are nearby, that's what I think 🤔 tell me your thoughts,

I think the whole JW trilogy should be decanonized lmfao, or rebooted to be done correctly because there is so much mess in each movie that is a nuisance to the expamssion of the lore, I think for exemple for Treverrow he didn't like The Lost World, so to him Isla Sorna is decanonized of his JW movie, that's why the island is never mentioned in those movies, which is turbo dumb and cause trouble to the lore, and other people of Universal have to fix his stupidity outside of the movies story, in those viral internet site about the lore, to reassure the fans.

@@foxxtitan7028 I do believe that the last two JW movie's should be decanonized and redone but the first Jurassic world movie was ok and I also really liked The lost World Jurassic park I think it was a good movie

@@DarthMarco220 Yeah me too, TLW is the best sequel to JP to me. My problem with JW is how they litteraly retcon the legacy of John Hammond, like just the last message of him at the end of TLW is so powerfull, and it's the last time we'll see Hammond talking because sir Richard Attenborough has passed away since. So it hit even more powerfully. And so the fact that his last words was to let the dinosaurs alone away from humanity as a parangon to protect them, to redeemed himself of what he've done with Jurassic Park and what he learned from his mistakes. It wazs beautifull, the end of the arc developpement of an amaizing character. But then. Just that being torn appart by Masrani saying "yeahh uuh hammond told me on his deathbed that he wanted his dream, his park to be accomplished" Like no wtf ? Never he would say that lol. Make no sens. So to me maybe the idea of making a new park was good movie idea, but involving Hammond destroyed every thing to me. And felt like a disrepect toward me, toward John Hammond and toward the perfomance of mister Attendborough.

Obviously Spielberg coming back to direct could never be a bad thing however I feel if there gonna continue this franchise then it needs new visions otherwise it will just become a rinse and repeat, the same goes for any long running franchise

I think Spielberg returning is the only way to save the brand. He needs to make a proper Jurassic movie that ignores the Jurassic World movies. No Owen, no puppy dog Raptor, no woke nonsense.

You know what i love to see its the old roots from jp the horror and people actualy being scared of the dinosaurs i dont like it what they did and took that feeling away. Even if they are cloned the first 2 movies the raptors were savage now they are like puppys in a petting zo.

Imagine if Spielberg were to make a Jurassic Park film that takes place after Jurassic World Dominion. Something like the dinosaurs on the mainlands have bred a lot more, so, there's many more dinos going around... BUT ALSO, they get more mutations.

I feel your passion for Spielberg and share the passion to see him come back and make another true, authentic Jurassic experience. I would love to see him come back and make a movie revolving around the dinosaurs on the mainland. I feel like he would be able make something really incredible

Speilberg has got lazy ever since Saving Private Ryan. Quite frankly, I don't think he cares anymore. As the executive producer of the JP franchise, he did nothing but allow it to get run into the ground twice-JP3 and with Dominion-and did the same thing as the executive producer for the Michael Bay Transformers franchise. Why should I think he would care now? And keep something in mind: He doesn't believe in ret-conning things out of existance. So even IF he did came back, how would he possibly fix the mess the last two movies made?

Great video idea and why Steven Spielberg should make a new Jurassic Park movie and I pretty much agree everything you said in this video and if Steven Spielberg makes a new Jurassic Park movie then it would be just as good as the first Jurassic Park movie from 1993 and The Lost World Jurassic Park in my opinion because after the long hiatus from the Jurassic Franchise after Jurassic Park 1993 and The Lost World Jurassic Park, I agree that Steven Spielberg should do a new Jurassic Park movie just for Jurassic Park’s 30th Anniversary so we could enjoy it a lot more than Jurassic World Dominion in my opinion and bring more screen time for the dinosaurs and Life Would Find A Way with this Partner. Great work Klayton and as always, Take It Easy and Life Finds A Way.
