Stonehenge wasn't finished, it was originally designed to have a large, robust roof & earthen mound over the top like its much older counterpart Newgrange in Ireland, long barrows served the same purpose although designed in a different way. Ancient megalithic sites like Stonehenge, Newgrange & the long barrows were designed for survival, much like a modern-day bomb shelter with space inside for food, water & people to take shelter from radiation, wind, debris & electrical storms caused by meteorites. Presumably built for the druid elite, the Tuatha Dé Danann, the ancestor of the god An, the druids being the most important knowledge holders of their day. There was a serious concern that the earth could pass through a meteor shower at any point causing devastating effects to the earth & humanity much like the one that caused the Great Younger Dryas ice age where humanity was very nearly wiped out but a few survivors. These structures are built well above tidal & Tsunami surge lines & were astronomically aligned with markers like solstices & equinoxes mapping key celestial events for humans to survive. The circular spiral relief artwork found on these sites could represent celestial events or they could represent shock waves, tornados, tsunami's or other catastrophic events caused by meteorite blasts or impacts

Stonehenge is evidence of their version of civilization success and needing to keep people busy. When we’re hungry, we look for food. Cold, we seek warmth. When we have those and extra bodies with no technology, you move stones for supernatural reasons. That’s how all civilizations are built and why they left big rock structures. They had bodies aplenty, but no Walmarts. It lets us know they had a booming population at their time. People did these things for their living. They didn’t go to the office.

Older civilization's must have had a lot of time to waste dragging tons of stone 20 or more miles and building these instead of homes and growing foods.

*_These giant rocks are too heavy to be dragged by normal people, experts have tried and they failed. Hence, they were not dragged and nobody knows how they were transported for miles. But there are beliefs that they were built by people bigger than us, which is actually more plausible._*

@@danielpaulson8838 I agree. I feel society as a whole should have more respect for our ancient ancestors and cultures etc.. we all can certainly do better, just seems division is growing more and more, finger pointing and negativity is far to prominent. Of course a huge culprit is social media/ mainstream. It’s just so disastrous, it makes oneself feel uneasy rather rapidly. I pray for better times in the future for our world, and the youngest generations. As do many others.

Stonehenge, as you see it today, is a 1950s construction. The ground has been landscaped also.

@@Andy_Babb- what he means is, Stonehenge was ‘rebuilt’ in the 50s. Can’t say which stones went where or which are still in original position. But the jist is much work was done at Stonehenge in the 50s.
