You know what's funny? Batman DEFEATED Harley Quinn and Deadshot in his own games 3 Freakin Times. Outsmarted them, Outmatched them, Outgunned them with gadgets, and made it where any time those 2 come across him, he'd ALWAYS be ready. But for some reason, in 1 game, Deadshot defeats him and Harley Quinn point blank headshots him. Even after all those times he CLEARLY shows that Harley and Deadshot are NOT on his level. This game isn’t Canon. Bruce doesn’t even look like Arkham Bruce. They disrespected the whole JL. Harley sexually assaulted Deadshot. That’s disgusting. And Robin’s bloody mask indicates that Bruce killed Nightwing, Barbra, Alfred, and Jason. He could’ve even killed Gordon. I’ve lost all respect for Rocksteady. The second I heard this was going to be an always online live service game, I knew they'd mess it up. How hard is it to make a co-op/single 3rd person shooter set in the Arkham DC universe??? They can have missions in Gotham, Metropolis, and Corto Maltese as well as other locations and each mission has different enemies. Instead they decide to destroy any chance of continuing the Arkham universe with other characters/giving them their own games, and completely ruin the already established characters we've loved over the past 4 Arkham games.

I thought it was more obvious that there was multiversal fuckery going around? There's too much that didn't make sense to just say "they didn't read the comics." They make it clear that there are two different Deadshots. Not only does Shark claim the green lantern ring, it turns on him, AND the barrier protecting Brainiac remained active. This could make sense if it was actually the Earth-3 ring of volthoom? Boomerang cut off Flash's thumb, evil Flash still had his. When WW stabs Superman in the heart with kryptonite she said that it should have killed him, yet he flies away to Brainiac's ship. Lex Luthor mentions that the Justice League's DNA had been altered. There are a lot of plot points in the game that doesn't add up. They clearly have a multiversal story to tell. The base game ends at a perfectly reasonable point - they've followed through with the title and killed the justice league and saved their world. I don't know in what way that means "none of it mattered" but it's clear that the story was always going to be bigger than that. I've been playing Gotham Knights and I WISH it had the writing quality of this game but whatever.

1. This game feel like mix between Borderlands and Fortnite with a DC skin on it. 2. There are little differences, but all characters play almost the same. Everyone flies through the city, everyone shoots their guns. 3. The authors took all defining characteristics of 4 main protagonists and threw them away. There is nothing unique about them, they could as well create 4 new characters, because that what we see on the screen are not Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Cpt. Boomerang and King Shark. 4. That is Rocksteady in name only. Just look at their homepage. They advertise themselves about inclusivity and diversity. You understand what they mean? You don't have to be good at what you do to join their team. You only have to be diverse, nothing else. Some rumours even state, that the writers were actively trying to humiliate all male antagonists. 5. There are some good ideas, but all of them are done worst possible way, as if they had a competition, how to make them least fun and enjoyable. 6. There are now infos, that Werner Bros and Rocksteady both knew, that gamers were displeased with the direction the game goes. They even delayed the game, but changed next to nothing. In the yt videos of the game you can see hardly any negative comments, which leads me to believe they are actively censored out. Ignoring your fanbase and failing game. Blizzard and Diablo 4 flashbacks anyone? 7. At least graphics look somewhat nice, animations too. Voice acting is of high quality.

I’ve seen the argument made before that they could’ve put Batman in wonder woman’s place. But first of all, I don’t think they could’ve had as good of a story if they would’ve done that. How are you going to have those moments where you get to experience What it’s like to be the criminals that version of Arkham Batman is taking out with stealth take downs from the rafters or popping out of vents. So I have a bit of a unique theory as to why, and it might explain other characters. I think its primarily due to Harley Quinn, compared to other Batman rouge's, is one of the most easily redeemable, that along with Catwoman. In most stories she does end up separating herself from the Joker and does (although she still has plenty of issues) end up being partially good, even occasionally helping Batman. So when you have a group consisting of primarily villains who have Bomb's planted in their necks and sent to deal with problems Superhero's don't want to do, wouldn't it make sense to have a character who is 1. from one of the most popular rouge's gallery in Superhero history, 2. the SIDEKICK to one of the most famous Villains ever made ( I.e. The Joker), 3. Is at least more redeemable compared to other villains, or at least would be better off being a part of the Suicide Squad then with an abusive Criminal boyfriend, and 4. Is genuinely a unique character that people usually like. Harley is kinda perfect for the Suicide Squad, that along with another common choice for the team, being Deadshot. The issue with this is that, from what I saw from a lot of people, Harley from this game HASN'T gone through the same arc most other versions of Harley that join the Suicide Squad go through. She never tried to separate herself from the Joker, Never really tried reforming, and is basically the same character she was at the beginning of Arkham Asylum (which goes along with every other member of the suicide squad in this game). so yeah, there's the best explanation I can give you, Harley's arc in most depictions (besides this one) just works with the idea of the suicide squad, along with being an Iconic and fairly sympathetic compared to other Batman rouges, leads her to commonly be used.

When you have a company like Warner, who continously fail at capitalizing on the great stuff DC has to offer by following the trends in order to make a quick buck, that they really lose more on than make, its hard to blame the studio. They got screwed royally. This did to Rocksteady, what the Saints Row reboot did to Volition. Another company wanting to change stuff to their vision ruined a good property. Had they let Rocksteady make the games the way the had always done, we wouldn't be here. People would be talking about how great Rocksteady was. This is why they should have just went with building a new DC game series around another of the DC heroes. They planted plenty of seeds for that with the homages to other heroes. Hell, I would have loved to have seen their take on a Green Arrow made game, especially during the Arrow TV series getting people into the character, because I would have trusted that team would have done some great ideas for it. Yet, we get the same thing, money obesessed corpo pushes bad ideas and directions on a studio, and it kills them. This is the third of my favorite studios that have been killed off because of dumb ownership groups. Vicarious Visions, Volition, and now Rocksteady are all memories for the wrong reasons.

I guarantee there was no hype for this game. Play testers during it's development hated it. Many of the people that were allowed to preview the game all have nothing good to say about it. And the ones that did, had only recently started playing the Arkham Games so they were not only fresh to the franchise, but they were blinded by special treatment, so their opinion of the game can be disregarded as paid opinions. What made the Arkham games good was Paul Dini's involvement and when Rocksteady decided to ditch him when developing Arkham Knight, I knew it was just a matter of time before the next DC project they were given was going to fall apart. You can already see the cracks all throughout Arkham Knight.

agree with much of the things said, the repetitive missions, anti-climatic JL deaths, and the unreal boss fights against them, were all very stupid choices, other than that i dont agree, boomerang didnt pee on flash, he was going to but deadshot said to show some respect, and it doesnt show any pee going to flash, and even if he did, boomerang doesnt like flash so whats the big deal, about the whole green lantern ring thing and other incongruities , dataminers have showed audios in game files showing that they are clones, and also trough the story there are some hints to it, dont get me wrong i dont think the game is perfect, it could be much better, just saying that is not that bad i had a lot of fun with the traversal and combat combined and story despite the bad choices it was engaging.

@rang_ongaming231 You know. I would have gave them a pass somewhat had it been a slow burn thing, but yeah. I didn't even play TLAD truthfully. I got TBOGT first out of em and stuck with it. But I have watched stuff on Johnny's story and I am offended still lol. I couldn't imagine how massive fans of his felt seeing that.

I think this games perfectly fine. Its completely different then anything in the arkham games which gives it a pass, because its not trying to be those games

Ok so gameplay and OPTIONAL COSMETIC micro transactions aside did this reviewer ever read a comic book? he had the audacity to compare scarecrow fear toxin to brainiac and not only that but he was surprised the suicide squad had no respect for the JL like these people beat the shit out of the SQ on multiple occasions and he was surprised they were disrespectful???
