Yes, I have fond memories of her as Laurie Partridge but her character, Grace Van Owen on L.A Law showcased her thespian abilities. Like most teens in the 70s, I crushed on handsome David Cassidy. But I followed Susan Dey also, liking her fashion and modern sensibility on the show. When she was on LA Law, I was a young professional also, and she was such a classy attorney in her tailored suits and her sleek haircuts. She played a very smart, tough, and hard-nosed attorney, someone to be reckoned with. I still like and admire Susan Dey. It's fine if she does not want to show up at public functions, but she should know, many of us still like her so much!

The boom operator on LA Law was Peggy Waggoner/Names, a regular on American Bandstand in the 1960s. Very cute & attractive Peggy was often mistaken for Susan at filming of LA Law. A useless bit of trivia for us!!!🤣😂

It's understandable she wouldn't want to attend the reunions, I read the book Cassidy wrote. Women's lib was a big topic in the 70s. The coach let Laurie's friend Frankie try out for the basketball team, said she was good, then told her she was rejected for being female. Why let her try out if they already knew girls weren't allowed?

Interestingly, the title of this video can be summed up with just one trivia data point from IMDB for the show, which I quote: Susan Dey refuses to attend The Partridge Family reunions. After The Partridge Family ended in 1974, Dey went on to several other TV parts, including a starring role on L.A. Law in 1986. "By then, she and David had grown apart, and nowadays they are completely out of touch, which hurts David tremendously," Jones writes. "I was also hurt that out of everyone on the show, only Susan consistently refuses to take part in any TV reunions of The Partridge Family." So, there you have it. Everything else in this video is basically just "fluff". Stuff that's nice to know but doesn't really have any meaningful impact on the actual title of this video.
