I had the great pleasure of meeting Sid when I was a kid after a wrestling show. At the end of the event, my family and I were walking to our car and Sid was gettting into his car. I spotted him and yelled, "You are my favorite wrestler!" He smiled and walked over to me and gave me a high five and thanked me for coming out to see him. What a great performer and icon in wrestling. He will be missed. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

I loved Sid, he was my favorite 90s wrestler and absolutely underrated 😭 Edit: y’all are really saying Sid wasn’t underrated? This dude main evented two Wrestlemanias, won multiple world titles in WWE and WCW, had feuds with Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and YET I barely see people praise him and consider him the GOAT, for someone who isn’t underrated he BARELY gets mentioned compared to people like Hulk Hogan Or Macho Man or Ultimate warrior, I BARELY see people comment “Sid is one my favorite he was a great wrestler.”

My husband is a Retired Battalion Captain Firefighter/Paramedic. He's told me several times in his early carrier. When Sid had just started out. During a match with Ron Garvin. Sid broke his had and my husband treated Sid. He told me how nice of a guy he really was. I lost my late husband to cancer and my husband lost his father to cancer three days apart from each other. So we know how cancer not only effects the one with cancer but the whole family. R.I.P Sid you were one of the great ones.

He was a natural talent. There’s a video of Sid during one of his entrances’ on a Monday Night Raw, and the crowd was going insane over him. What stood out to me about this entrance, is there was no pyro, the lights didn’t go off or dim. There wasn’t even any graphics or video playing on the titiantron. It was just him.

He was literally the most impressive bigman in wrestling to me as a kid. Jacked and empossing, Sid was the whole package! I had been to many of the WCW shows when he was a sky scrapper and he dap'd every kid who reached out to him and acknowledged fans who were there to see him perform. He made the power bomb seem effortless and his slow psychopathic walk and laugh to the ring sold me on how a heel could be cool! Rest in peace, sir!
