I've been following BBK for a while now, but I must admit that I am so happy this dude is on this wholesome conversational arc. I've always loved this channel for the chill vibes, but now it feels more mature and personal. 😊

Something that struck me is when you said "give yourself permission to pause the grind to just breathe, to exist without having to accomplish any immediate goal." I approach a lot of things in life with that achievement-focused perspective, and I think I need to apply a more intentional, relaxed mindset to my hobbies and my exercise. Really needed this reminder, thank you for what you do!

Same here. I think I get a little too laser focused on completing day to day things in the most efficient way possible instead of just going about doing them naturally and comfortably

I’m taking a break from university after grinding at school for many years and I really really needed it. I’m about 2 months in my break and it’s been really beneficial. I feel that after getting even more rest, I’ll be ready to dive back into studying.

Everything that you're describing is something that i've discovered recently. It's called "mindfulness" and it's just the idea of stopping that forward thinking and just worry about this exact moment. smelling the roses and appreciating where you are right now. we are so result focused, that we rarely let our body, let alone our minds, catch up to the feelings and reactions of the last 20 things that just happened. My tactic is a pseudo meditation (bear with me) where you just shut everything off, find a quiet place, and just breathe. close your eyes and eventually your head is gonna fill up with all sorts of stuff you didn't finish with yet. "that burger earlier was sooo good" "god im stressed, i wish i could finish xxxx" "i forgot xxxxx" "i should call or talk to xxxxx". it does wonders and i highly recommend it for like 10 minutes every other day or so.

Not only are we result focused but we're also constantly getting distracted a lot of the time. It's something that this youtuber, BBKDRAGOON, brought to my attention as of recent that I didn't really pay attention to beforehand. Definitely agree that it's a good idea to, not necessarily meditate, but to let your mind wander while e.g. going grocery shopping and not having music in your ears while doing the task.

Love these vids, always so good to hear your advice and thoughts. I agree, going away or even just jumping out of your routine for a day or two can often be the catalyst for the change you want/need in life. Had a few times in the past few years where after a holiday I am able to view issues clearly and have a much better time of dealing with them and considering my options

Road trip is super freedom. Breaks are new refreshing. You can recharge. If you don't have car, taking bus ride is super cool and chill ❤❤

I have a friend/coworker that just told me recently they do something like this. When things get overbearing and existential dread starts to creep in, they just pick a direction and drive until they find something interesting. Last weekend they found a nature preserve to drive through that they enjoyed. For myself, I really like checking out independent game stores, but even driving away an hour or two to go to a different one than usual can be a nice, relaxing change. I should do that again soon.

Had to drive 24 hours from TX to NY and it was so refreshing to just be with myself for a couple days just driving and thinking and listening to music.

I’ve been staying of PvP Games for 5 months, same as Splatoon. Also, I took time off from Social Media also. So, hope 2025 will be awesome for gaming.

Bruh this could not have been better timed 😭 On a real note, recently I have been in a mental rut when it came to my career and I was talking to my uncle and he recommended to find a reset point so I could center myself. Im planning to try paintball this weekend due to a recent interest. I’m hoping this will be a reset point because I desperately need it to realign.

The nice thing about a break, or just giving yourself space to breathe is that you can again listen to yourself. Let the mind wander as you said, just observing where your thoughts go what feelings bubble up, letting the tension actually release, and get worked through. Not distracting yourself, turning off the noise. And then you begin to reorient, find your footing and balance again. I sometimes think back to an older video title of yours - intentionality is everything. Really helps. Take care y'all

Yeah I'm taking a huge break from Sifu after spending a year and a half making one short film after the other. I can't wait to fall back in love with it next year since I'm not playing it for the rest of this year. Nowadays I just play other games and make sure to spend 20-60 minutes just sitting in my backyard to think. No phone, no music, no noise.
