Well i arrive with my wife in Thailand Phuket 8 January,booked fly tickets at early June from Greece with emirates for 1.9k. You said it’s only 7 kilograms for a carry-on luggage. This is true. However, airlines usually allow an additional carryon bag, and you can put a few more kilograms in the carryon bag. This is how I get around the 7 kilo suitcase rule. Actually, just did it last week, Air Asia from Tokyo to BKK and return. I assume this also works with domestic flights too.

Im been watching all your great vlogs.. I'm travelling to Thailand for 2 months from November until January. And hoping to get a extension on for a extra 30days. If I could get your advice that would be great I'm flying from the UK to Phuket.. can I get a extension straight away? I'll be in Phuket for a month until my friend joins me and I fly to Bangkok then go around the other part with him for Christmas then back to Phuket for NY. Any advice at all would be great.. this is my first time in Thailand.. and be on my own for the first month and I'm going to do a few island hoping when I'm in Phuket. Once you are in Phuket you can go to Krabi and railay beach by ferry and spend a few days there. Phuket is nice but is a party place while Krabi is quieter.

If you have a checked bag, the massive extra fees on Air Asia, Vietjet, etc, often make their total fares higher than Thai Airways, which include a checked bag, seat selection, snack and drink in their fare.

@@tokyojon4344 Apart from carrying more than twice that much, I also carry items that have to be checked. (e.g. Duty-free alcohol from international flight, deodorant (it's over 100ml), scissors, screwdrivers for adjusting glasses, etc.) Yes, I know people who throw away those things every flight and then re-buy them on arrival, but that is tedious and wasteful. It'd also be tedious to have to do laundry all the time.

Thailand is now more expensive than it was in July for Europeans. You could get over 39.1 baht to a Euro in July but now you will struggle to get 36.5
