Was Thanos the dumbest vilain?
Guys I think he was dude, I really do man. I didn't fully watch infinty war again but from what I did oh my. It was definitely worse than I remember on the dialogue but I think it still might be a fun whimsical adventure. Not logic town 3k. I've been watching movies, still gonna do the 2024 movies video but around the time oscars happen. Mfs got every movie in theaters 2025. Crazy. Bad medium movies are. But going back to super hero movies is actually hard. Too goofy.
As always thanks for watching. Video is doing better than my last 10 so yeah. Honestly gonna follow one of the goats CVH's philosophies in that non blockbusters are broccoli and normal people don't like eating vegetables all the time. At the end of the day, I'm not better than supe movies.

>Has the ability to make anything imaginable possible, thus removing the issue of finite resources leading to the decay of society >Still decides to kill half the universe as though they won't just repopulate, or better yet still leaves some of the people trying to stop him alive so they can find a way to undo everything he's done thus making the entire effort pointless. I seriously don't get why they chose this over his original motivation of trying to get the affection of Death, it was so much more straightforward and actually made sense.

because the movie want to lie about Thanos's real motive and saying that he is right. Thanos believe that he is on a mission to save the universe, but in reality it is because he is crazy, narcissistic, and only want to prove himself right. It is stem from the fact that his idea about saving his own planet by reducing half of population was rejected, so he want to prove that he is actually right by doing it to the entire universe. The truth is that by suggesting that idea in the first place is crazy and illogical. Reducing half of population just once is not going to solve the resource problem long term and it is even more illogical to do it randomly because some people are actually more important than other. Some people might have the skill and intelligence to solve the resource problem, while some other might just be a criminal like joker. An example to prove that Thanos is wrong is in the first guardians of the galaxy movie: Thanos claimed that what he did to Gamorra's planet save them, but when Gamorra got caught and sent to the prison the guard comment about she being the last of her race. This mean that despite what Thanos did, the entire species died anyway.

Strange consistently makes mistakes with magic. He will use dangerous magic knowing full well of the consequences of using said magic if the ends justify the means, or will not use magic he knows he has when it is ideal. He is also arrogant and cocky. That's how he's being characterised. I find it weird how people expect every character in a piece of fiction to act perfectly regardless of their character.

If Superman and the Flash actually could move as fast as they could in the movies and comics, they would be the smartest people on the planet because their ability to speed read would be off the charts. They could both read 100 books in a day. Over one month, that would be 3,000 books a month. They'd be so smart their brains would probably pop out of their skulls.

In most comics Superman is a genius with the combined knowledge from thousands of different galaxies but, in most movies and tv shows they keep him normal so that Batman can actually offer something to the justice league. Plus, when running at super speed, since you have so much momentum, every step moves you way farther than a normal step. When speed reading, you still have to comprehend every word. It doesn't download like a computer. It would still feel like you're reading 100 books back to back.

Yes, the reality stone can manipulate physhics and grant wishes, the powerstone controls all the power and generates unlimited energy. You just need those 2 and you got unlimited resources. I guess the space and time stone could technically make copies of everything too by just replicating the space and time of the object too so he had at least 2 different ways to do that without needing to have all the stones

The writers prioritized big dumb CGI fights and giving their highest paid actors the most attention instead of actually making the story make sense, that's also why the movie has way too many inconsistencies and potholes. I guess that just sums up mostly every superhero movie
@deltram

@@GuhTheBruh please point out said inconsistencies and plotholes specifically, and we can talk about them. And how else would you rather have these fights be made? What are you asking for? The story happened the way it did because of the actions of the characters. Sure, they could have done better against Thanos, and Thanos could have done better against them. But this is the way the writers went about these characters. It's OK to dislike that, but just saying it for the sake of saying it cos you heard someone else say it... is kinda pointless.

@deltram 1. this video points out a bunch of inconsistencies and plot holes. But I'll point out a couple more. - Vision not being able to use mind control powers despite having the mind stone - Bringing characters like Gamora back through the dogshit time travel plot but not Black Widow or Iron man or LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE THAT DIED - Stormbreaker not being able to kill a Thanos without an infinity gauntlet. I don't care that Thor became fat, he shouldn't have struggled that fight. 2. If a movie is meant to be serious, then the important fights should also be serious. I shouldn't have to ask for this 3. "Sure they could have done better against Thanos, and Thanos could have done better against them" Do you understand the concept of stakes? If the avengers lost against Thanos then half the universe dies. If Thanos lost against the avengers then he loses his main goal in life. The writers are stupid for making these characters not take anything seriously. 4. "Saying it for the sake of saying it cause you heard someone else say it" Dawg I literally just said my opinion on the matter on a yt comments section. I didn't "steal" this opinion from anyone else it is literally what I was thinking after finishing infinity war in theatre's. The writers clearly wrote the story in order to give the big actors (who play weaker characters) the spotlight It's my opinion, I am allowed to say it no matter if it is a popular or unpopular opinion.
@deltram

@GuhTheBruh And in response: 1) Vision was incapacitated by Corvus Glaive and thus couldnt use his stone to the best of his abilities. Hell, if Vision was healthy, he could have easily taken out Thanos, as he has the capability to do so, shown in What-If? When Ultron in Vision's body one-shot Thanos. 2) Yeah they could have brought back a different Iron Man and Black Widow, since that was possible through the time heist, but that might have cheapened their sacrifice in the eyes of the audience. I mean, yes that would be logical, but they aren't robots. How would Stark's daughter or Pepper react to an alternate Tony Stark, who is not their Tony Stark? It sort of raises more problems than it provides solutions. 3) The reason Stormbreaker managed to overpower the completed gauntlet was because the axe is immune to magic. That's it. Thanos could still box with Thor as in Infinity War, without the use of the Power Stone, still demolished the Hulk. And Thanos and his blade could break Captain America's shield. Yknow, the shield made from the material that actually protected him from a strike from Mjolnir in the Avengers?
