I mean Marc Gasol was not a bad signing per say, but signing Harrell instead of keeping Dwight or McGee is what doomed the Lakers. Harrell had just won 6 man of the year for the Flippers, and they wanted to stick it to the Flippers and steal their player. They should’ve added Marc Gasol and kept Dwight.

He was slow, but still a great low post defender, who of course gets exposed if you take him out in the perimeter. Look at the advance numbers with him on the court, the Lakers were good. Of course he wasn’t Memphis or even first year Raptors Marc Gasol, but he was still decent for a vet minimum starting center. The problem the Lakers did was signing Montrez because he didn’t fit at all next to Lebron and AD, and also killed our defense. The Lakers should’ve kept at least either Javale or Dwight, and still gotten Marc or even Drummond. Don’t call me revisionist because I try to as objective as I can. Don’t call me a casual because I’ve been watching the Lakers since 2006-ish non stop

Rondo left for the bag. Javale was good for reg season but Dwight took his minutes in the playoffs. Marc was a good signing and Dennis for Green was good considering injury and Rondo leaving. Harrell was the bad move. Shoulda went into 21 with Dwight and Marc.
