Curtis Harvey The comparison between the 2016 73-9 choke vs the 2020 Clippers one was hard and tough the moment It was born, as already the video alone I bet can make one even outsider or casual think that, but of this conversation there's one theme that Is sure, and that's definitely that, damn agreed, great point. The Warriors arrogance and trashtalk (especially off of an asterisk 2015), the magnitude of the choke, the rivalry, the winning side magnitude (of course the 2020 Nuggets story of comeback, Jokic, Murray explosion etc is no slouch but there isn't and there won't ever be a story, winning side etc even sniffing Lebron, Cavs, 2016 Cavs and all, it's just not possible) etc, the 2016 soft Warriors choke topped off probably the best season of all time and is the best ceiling raiser ever but damn, I think It's close there too but I think that even the 2016 choke can't beat the 2020 choke. 2020 year, all that trash talked, all those commercials, the rivalry, the level of laugh, the Lakers and Lebron on the other side, the sheer need of that even without 2020 etc, it's just an instant classic, and the 2020 choke is definitely the best floor raiser of all-time.

People laughed at me when I said prior to the season that Doc Rivers is a overrated coach, that Paul George is a good player but not great, that Pat Bev is a overrated defender, that Kwahi doesn´t fit the Clippers system and that Clippers will fail due to their cockiness.

Some of that was right. Pat Bev's playoff numbers were fine. Kawhi's playoff numbers were overall great, including the Nuggets series (he had two bad shooting games, one of them G7, but he was good in every other facet). Doc Rivers is not a good coach, was bad with adjustments, yes. Paul George is a bit of a clown, his game recedes a bit in the playoffs. Kawhi doesn't deserve blame for his on-court production, if you actually look at his averages, but he does deserve blame for pushing the Clippers to sellout on a non-superstar and not accounting for who would be the team's vocal leader when he's a quiet and socially awkward guy.

They had a 2 time Finals MVP, a championship coach, a championship assistant coach, a bunch of really good players...only problem was Pandemic P as they traded their future for the next 5 years for a "leader." It was a team problem at the end but Doc and Paul George should get most of the heat. Poor coaching and a lack of a leader or voice in the locker room to set the team straight. Kawhi's job is to go in and get the job done-so he gets a pass. If Playoff P doesn't want to win rings, he shouldn't play in the NBA-period. Every year should be championship or bust-that's the mentality superstars should have. He's just a regular season all star who excelled in a weaker conference from the East.

I was never into the clippers hype. I thought they would eventually face the lakers but I felt like the lakers would have won it. More playoff experience and more collective winning experience. Rondo has a ring and is a great basketball mind. Lebron has 3 and has to been to 9 finals. Dwight isn’t what he used to be but has been Dpoy and been to a finals. Javale has 2 rings and is an underrated big man. Ad hasn’t done much but he is getting groomed to winning under Lebron a wing. Outside of kawhi who has done anything really on the flippers? Pandemic p has a awful close out series and game 7 historically. When he was the main guy couldn’t get it done against Lebron and always was blame giving sidekick who couldn’t admit when he stunk up the joint after he left Indiana. Lou Williams trying to hang with jack Harlow and eat wings with strippers instead of follow guidelines with everything we got going. And it’s obvious that with all the different personalities on that team, they probably not hanging out much. Chemistry is important. Lebron invites ad and teammates over for dinner regularly. The flippers just simply relied on what talent they had on paper instead of going out and being the “dogs” everyone thought they would be this was ultimately their undoing. I for one am glad that all the nonsense is quelled for at least now cuz it just shows you every one is for the moment nowadays. Half these analysts won’t even admit they were wrong about the flippers they just give half handed excuses of why they were wrong. As a fan of basketball I’d love to see the lakers win just to be some good news with everything we’ve faced this year.
