I know all the words to 'Tulpen uit Amsterdam', and I'm currently learning 'Ik ben zat'. I may also get round to learning 'Wat zal je doen', as that appears to be another song that's easy to memorise. Is there any chance of you making a video, explaining the lyrics of 'Sjeng aon de geng'? As far as I'm aware, it's a popular party song, though I don't understand the words, as they're in the Limburg dialect.

I love it that you are learning Dutch with the songs. However, in my lessons I will stick to teaching the standard Dutch language, called ABN (algemeen beschaafd Nederlands). No dialects, because it will complicate the content for my students even more. But I have two great songs coming up that you might already look into. They are ‘Vriendschap’ by Het Goede Doel and ‘Even aan m’n moeder vragen’ by Bloem.

I have doubts on in place of v is it pronounced as f it would be great if you could let me know about it It is nice to see how enthusiastic you are to teach county national anthem and language

That is a great question Rashmikka! The pronounciation of V and F are similar, but sound slightly different. It is actually the same difference as in English. The English words 'veil' and 'fail'. Similar sounds of V/F but slightly different. Dutch examples: vaak (means: often) and fontein (means: fountain). The V is made with the upper teeth on your lower lip, and use the vocal chords. The F is made the same way, except you don't use your vocal chords (like you do when you whisper). Hope this helps!

Like in all western countries, The Netherlands is a beautiful melting pot of cultures from all over the world. However the majority is still white.
