Fine Gael and Simon Harris have been in power for 14 years, last election a few weeks ago they only managed 22% of seats. While they do not have the support of 68% of Irish voters, their stance on the IDF & Hamas murdering machines is no different from 99% of the Irish public. Condemning the IDF cannot - as much as Israel would like to believe - be equated to support for Hamas. Perhaps the difficulty with trying to talk to or negotiate with Hamas or Israel is that both are comprised of deeply traumatized individuals hell bent on removing the other from planet earth.
