It's cool to see you're still replying to comments on this. I was wondering what insurance you use? I've heard a lot of people use hagerty for imports, but I'd really like to have everything I own insured under the same policy (progressive) just because it makes things easier and cheaper.

I can assure you, the AYC diffs do fail. Mine did. Ended up with a later Evo VII diff.

Awesome build! Were there any other features that didn't work with the haltech 1500 besides the ic sprayer and the als that you wired in? Thanks!
@hdwerks10 ай бұрын
Those were really the only things that the 4/5/6 had that was of any additional use. But we got it all working. It can do more in the future, now that we have the right ecu on board.

Any more info on that shifter? I have metal shifter bushings installed interior and engine bay. People who ask to shift for me after hearing the clicky engagement always exclaim how tight and precise it feels. Is that the difference you noticed going from stock to this shifter setup or is there more benefits?
@hdwerks11 ай бұрын
Precision is even better. And the placement is on point. One of the best driver mod - mods for this platform.

is that one trim level below a full evo? I remember they had one with the turbo and awd forgot what they call it.. that interior is showing me off... where's the red recaros?
@hdwerks2 ай бұрын
RS isn’t necessary below. I’d say adjacent. Meant to be built and raced

Anyone knows if Enkei WRC Tarmac EVO wheels 17x8" +35 offset 5x114.3 brembo spec will fit the EVO 4 RS? And what tire size to use 225/45 r17 or 235/45 r17 ?? I am confused! Please help thanks
@hdwerks5 ай бұрын
They should. Can use a 235
@air23forever355 ай бұрын
@@hdwerksgood! Hey Pete if I use 235 I'm a bit concerned about tire rubbing at the rear fender, why 235 and not 225 ?? Please explain more thanks!

Expect crank walk if you change that clutch to an aggressive one if thats a true evo 4 motor
@hdwerks11 ай бұрын
Yeah. Not too aggressive. The right oil helps a lot also

would a stock 70k mile evo 4 be a good daily driver? I drive less than 40 mins a day
@hdwerks9 ай бұрын
Yes and no. Just depends on current quality and how you drive it. They’re super reliable if you take care of them
