I own a 2000 GS300 myself and I absolutely love it to bits! It turns heads and cruises incredibly well. It's just a good luxury sedan that never fails to impress with its quality

Yes, LEXUS, so good! I prefer them to stay the way they're "supposed" to be: As stock as possible. Maybe some nice *period correct* polished wheels and that's about it. Just nice and classy! You want "JDM style"? Take the TOYOTA version. 😅

@@RossReviewsau There's nothing different about the aristo except the GTE! And EVERYONE knows now that you can change the rods and pistons in the GE vvti and slap on a turbo and the GE will 500hp easily. Our you can keep it stock with a turbo on about 5psi and get 350-400 hp AND THE CAR WILL BE RELIABLE AS A DAILY DRIVER!

After watching this video some time ago, i searched for 2. gen GS300. and finally found and bought one in december 2020 in rough condition. turns out there are only 7 cars like this my my country (Denmark) the plan is to restore it to its former glory and keep it forever.

Great video! Some things I would add however is discussing, what type of gearbox is present in the car(ik it's auto, is it a 4speed or 5 speed). Discussing how it goes over speed bumps and potholes (something that people wanna know when it comes to cruisers). The alternates or it's direct competitors in it's price point (e.g 1uz soarer vs this) and how they feel. Also would be cool to hear the original price point of this car! Drone footage is 10/10 btw. big fan!

I have a 03 GS 300, 177,000 miles on it, with Peanut Butter interior, including the Sports Package. Manual or Automatic transmission works find. It's just expensive as hell to repair. Good thing my husband is very mechanically inclined. Thanks for the information and reviews. I plan on riding until the wheels fall off!!!!

I picked up a running 02 gs300 with 190k miles for 500 bucks, spent 600 on some simple work, best investment ever. The drive and comfort is unmatched compared to most sedans I'm forced to ride in at times.

This is my second used gs300. I hate driving anything else around. You got a good deal on yours and even though I paid more for a higher mileage, I still think the deal was good. Impressive quality.

This is a great review, i can account for everything he has to say as true. I had one of these (it was totaled by a drunk driver while it was parked it was super clean but high mileage it hit 300,000 miles and showed no signs of stopping). and I'm going to get another one now. shop around for one of these bad boys some are in poor condition some are in great condition still. the ones that are in great condition are worth every penny and even more.

for those getting this car: don’t get a gte swap unless you can afford it. the GE is just as good, you can turbo it with the CXracing kit for only 2300 max. if you want more power or reliability, all you have to really do is replace the piston rods. these are amazing cars, and the base engine is amazing as well. just needs some rice

For anyone who didn’t know Lexus GS 300 has the same engine as Toyota Supra’s as stock . Engine name ( 2jz ge )and give up to 270 horse power. By the way I have a 2001 Gs 300 and this car is a legend

This is not true. A 2nd GS300 comes with a 2jzge vvti, which has different rods and pistons, and higher compression. 1st Gen GS300 comes with a stock 2jzge engine that also came in the Mark 4 Supra.

Also, as far as performance, it is 'acceptable'. The 3L is geared at 3.9:1, makes the JZ kinda fun to drive. (Idea, 4L or 4.3L with a differential from a GS 300)

I trade 22ich rims for one of there car came with low Coil and rims and twin turbo. He thought his engine blew and oil was coming out something like but when I bought it home the next day wen to get gas in it that dam started right up I’m like wow . I would like to relocate the HVAC control, to become located low, near the Ashtray, and install a Modern double DIN stereo just below the Ventilation, Nice High and easy to use and read. Looks like KONIG SSM, Gloss Black with a Machined Lip. The wheels were what drew me to the video. I have been window shopping and deciding on a new set, this particular wheel is within my top 5 choices so far. I am shooting for an 18" wheel, with coil-overs set up to be a daily driver. (ie, reasonable upgrades without going ridiculous)

So this its almost the same engine as Supra. What about the next generation from 2005 if I am not wrong is different engine code . Which one is more reliable. I prefer the next generation because it looks like a Cadillac / Merc and the back like a Dodge. In UK the road tax is I think 350£ per year on the 3 litre and probably my insurance policy will explode as I am paying 110£ per month on BMW f10 520d

yes this is the same engine that the supra NA got.. and also the aristo version of this car got the Supra Turbo engine the legendary 2JZT. the next generation went to a V6 and a V8.. if you got the V8 it should be fairly reliable tho im not sure about the V6... the 2jz tho is very reliable
